how is that human league, I've always wanted to check them out, but the few hits they've had, keep putting me off? (I know, call me hipster garbage*.

if anyone was/is a Human League hipster, that would have to be me. Back in high school, I was constantly listening to the pop-perfection of 'Dare' and 'Crash.' 'Reproduction' is a lot more gritty; especially the 4 part opus, "The Dignity of Labour." My best comparison would have to be either early OMD or Kraftwerk.

I might have to pick it up then. The Carter Tutti album didn't do much for me, then again, I've always felt Carter and Tutti were the weakest output after the TG split. The Set Fire To Flames album is brilliant.

Reproduction is basically the best album ever made. Egress, get on that.

p.s. badseed, I had no idea your interest in Naked City had anything to do with me...damn it, now you know more about them than I do!

Well, If had not been for you charting them, I may not have investigated them. I believe you had mentioned them to either myself or someone else within the "six degree's of separation" realm. At any rate; I downloaded 'Torture Garden' and didn't care too much for it. Then I heard 'Absinthe' and that's all it took for me to become deeply obsessed with Zorn and co. BTW~ have you been able to get your hands on a copy of Absinthe, yet?

some lovely things here I must say. The Ape Of Naples by Coil, Thaw by Foetus and Set Fire To Flames albums are some of my favorite albums of all time! and This Heat of course. there are way more interesting Scott Walker albums than those mentioned here, though, but I suppose you already know that.

Yes, those three aforementioned albums quickly became some of the most cherished in my collection. The whole album art work and presentation of The Ape of Naples, is very powerful; that slide out picture of Johnn, after he's passed on... *Goosebumps* You're absolutely right about there being better Scott releases out there. Last year, I had purchased Scott 1 and Scott 3, as well as Tilt, the Drift, and 'And Who Shall Go to the Ball? And What Shall Go to the Ball?'. I adore Scott 3 and Tilt the most!

Uh... Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I can't seem to update this journal with my new purchases. I attempt to edit the info and when I preview it, everything looks good, so I post it, but nothing appears. ???
