So good to hear you are doing great, brother E! I would love to see you back here, i miss our online interactions. Spring has arrived at my end and the weather is perfect. I've just returned from a short holiday and yesterday i got my first fine... for speeding... the one and only (i hope)... Even the cop congratulated me and said that i can call myself a real driver now. :) How does that sound?

Consider it a salon, a roofless conversation for open and curious minds. If the waft of the incense draws your fancy, feel free to comment on its flavor. Aw, yes! Pure Guava. That't the album which holds my deepest affection, for I spent many moments contemplating the lil' birdie whilst tripping on the whirling winds of my psychedelic soul.

You've reminded me to revisit Ulver's reinterpretations. Makes for a good listen during a light soaked summer afternoon.

Well, for me this disappearance was at least partly unexpected. To make the long story short: I'm slowly getting my regular routine back... i've been through a painful oral surgery and i'm plagued by an annoying numbness that impairs my speech... especially when i'm tired... Despite that, i'm doing fine... i've managed to close the studies chapter for the moment and i've spent the last week on a wild beach. It never ceases to amaze me how much comfort could bring spending a couple of days away from the noise of civilization... How's life at your end? long time no talk.. i miss you, brother E!

I understand. I go through dry spells with the written word. And other spells. Cheers!

Are you making your way through the deep Dicking of the Exegesis? Mmmm Hmmm. I love me some Dick. Horselover Fat FTW!

Hmm... i've been far away from all potential distractions and i've been working like hell... and i still am. i got a work holiday and i'm doing my best to close the studies chapter of my life... Wow, you got a new car? That is great news, would you please post some pics and share the marvels you've seen? I also received a new car, as a present, a few weeks ago... unfortunately i don't have much time for driving it at the moment, but after the 4th of July all this madness will stop and i'll get my life back... Camping sounds divine! May your plans come true, brother E!

Hey E, sounds like you are pretty busy parent.. well, if it helps, we've all been through that, though it seems that your effort is greater... they are growing up so fast, you know... soon you'll be showing their artwork on the walls and furniture... after a while you don't even have to think about redecorating because they'll do that for you... i just hope you'll manage to get some time for yourself, but i know how hard that can be...

*you're* I feel a grammarian peeking over my shoulder : ) In addition to the linkage below, I would like to throw in some other inspirational sites: http://bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com/ and http://www.myfixedgear.net/ The latter is just a gallery of peoples steeds, most of which were likely built / pieced together from the floor up.

Haha! I love the naked green people. That's precious : ) As for reliable brands / names / and the like, I guess it depends on what kind of riding your into (mountain, cyclocross, racing, commuting, cruising, touring, fixed gear, etc) and how much you're willing to spend. The folks who put my bike together gained my attention due to their favorable reviews, customization options, quality components, and a relatively inexpensive price for the whole shebang. http://bikesdirect.com/ has been touted as one of the online goto places for name brand products at cut prices, mentioned many times at http://www.bikeforums.net/forum.php.

"I think [the bicycle] has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world. It gives a woman a feeling of freedom and self-reliance. The moment she takes her seat she knows she can't get into harm unless she gets off her bicycle, and away she goes, the picture of free, untrammeled womanhood." -Susan B Anthony

That's awesome, Ehron! Your inspiration inspires me further : ) We all went on a family ride (I know, I'm pretty fucking lame) with our eldest on her own Torker BMX and Hiromi towing the other two in a trailer...me, on my zippy EighthInch. We have Pedalpalooza coming up, which of course contains The World Naked Bike Ride : three weeks of mad, human powered fun. I think we're gonna hit it up : )

Oh, both work and procrastination are killing me... i do extra hours at the office and then when i get home i work at the damn study... have i said i like that? Now i hate it! Guess what i'll be doing this weekend... i'm hurrying to get it at least partly done, as i'm planning to attend a movie festival at the end of next week...

Again, it's been too long... i'm terribly busy doing a follow up for a study we did a couple of years ago and writing a paper about that... i kind of like it... i have enough books to build a shelter and i'm only half way through... I have been avoiding all possible distractions and fighting my procrastination tendencies... but now i can reward myself with a short break in the e-world. i'll check fb and reply asap... How have you been?
