Been travelling Japan. Long time wish of mine. Did lots of stuff and visited legions of temples and shrines, so I'm practically a buddhist now. Too bad I didn't really get to check out the J-Indie scene. Mostly got confronted with elevator tunes or Japanese versions of pop songs that weren't even cool in their original release. Try Obladi Oblada in Japanese.

I get that too, So many music gets thrown/recommended at you. You don't have the time to check it all out. I must listen to animal collective, but i know i never will. Same goes for St Vincent, Flaming Lips, Crystal Castles. I just don't want to make time for them :P How has Idlewild's latest been to your liking? I think it's what i've been waiting for since i got massively addicted to Warnings/Promises. So glad the folk influences from his side projects made it to the album.
