The trumpet player is Randy Brecker. Nuance is a little different from her other recordings which are all trios. I like her own compositions very much and the 'standards' she chooses are always interesting - even the odd pop song. Her classical training shows at times and I think this gives her a 'different' sound to other players. But she can also get pretty emotional at times. Her live cd recorded at the Burghausen Jazz Festival is particularly good. I missed her recent concerts in London but hope to make up for that sometime soon.
