• My Eclectic Score

    18 Jun 2008, 16:59

Take your top 20 artists. For each of these artists, collect the top 5 similar artists. The resulting number of unique artists is your eclectic score. If the score is small (extreme = 5) your musical preferences are very limited, and if it is large (larger than 80, extreme = 100), then you have an eclectic musical preference. You can compute your own score at

    21 Nov 2007, 16:20

    1. Metric - Why haven't you come out with more sooongs? Hm?

    2. Harry and the Potters - Several years ago I proposed to both of you in an e-mail. You said yes. Where is my ring?

    3. Architecture in Helsinki - Am I ever going to see you live? Seriously, this is getting ridiculous.

    4. MIYAVI - I skip past your tracks when you come on shuffle now. I'm sorry.

    5. Bright Eyes - I have this horrible habit of listening to you when I'm down. You make it worse. D:<

    6. Tegan and Sara - Why didn't you stay after the show at the Culture Room? I wanted to say hi :[

    7. Imogen Heap - I haven't listened to you in ages. I think I overplayed you and got bored.

    8. System of a Down - OMG HIATUS WHATTT? Also, some of my cooler indier friends make fun of me for liking you. tear. :[[[[[[

    9. Bis - One time, I was making a website blog layout featuring a picture of you guys...and then my computer crashed in the middle of it. I blame you.

    10. The Faint - My friends have a bad habit of breaking into crazy dances to your music. [Okay...not really that negative]

    11. Sigur Rós - The ticket to that ballet your music was in was too expensive for me.

    12. Stars - Why are not living next door to me? [Yeahhhh, I really can't think of anything negative.]

    13. Streetlight Manifesto - I'm sooooo sorry you got robbed last time you were in West Palm! /rolls eyes lrn2security. [Sarcasm. fyi.]

    14. Mae - Your piano makes me wish I didn't quit my lessons back in elementary school.

    15. Regina Spektor - I have way too many of your live recordings so that when I use shuffle on my zune, one of your songs plays almost every 5 songs. How annoying.

    16. Mindless Self Indulgence - You tour with overly priced horribly huge groups of bands whenever you're around. Bleh.

    17. The Unicorns - I miss you. I don't like Islands quite as much. Come back?

    18. Death Cab for Cutie - How did you get on this list? I don't remember liking you that much. Perhaps I fell asleep with one of your albums on repeat?

    19. Hellogoodbye - I have to be in the right frame of mind to listen to you...else, you're just plain annoying.

    20. Frou Frou - I don't like you as much since the B&N I work at constantly played that one song of yours. :[
  • Saw Streetlight Manifesto on October 2nd

    28 Nov 2005, 11:19

At Respectable Street in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida, Streetlight Manifesto was amazing. They were playing with Whole Wheat Bread who was pretty awesome as well. The mosh pit got a little rough during Streetlight even though it was more condensed but rougher during Whole Wheat Bread's set. I was really glad they played my favorite song A Better Place, A Better Time. I was in the pit for a while but it was just soo hot. The owner of the venue was basically throwing water bottles at everyone. I think he was making sure no one passed out. Heh, oh well, it was an awesome night.
