There haven’t been many Tuesday Tens of late, pretty much the first time in some time where I’ve not had the inspiration to continue my mid-month themes. They will definitely return again soon, I just need to have a little more time… Anyway, in the meantime, here are ten more songs and artists you should hear about, that have been rocking my world over the past month.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that over the years, there aren’t a great many times where I could honestly say that I haven’t rolled my eyes in response to any news that “ are releasing a concept album”. It is fair to suggest that Concept Albums really do have a shitty reputation, in the main, perhaps because some of the better known exponents over time managed to drag the idea through the mud, with certain dull, never-ending prog-rock epics being the worst offenders. And yes, I can’t stand Pink Floyd.

I’ve looked at band reunions before (Tuesday Ten 144), but I’ve not looked at the glut of album reissues, remasters and other ways that record labels have found to help bolster their physical sales numbers that little bit more, as digital sales continue to increase. And while I have a bit of a distrust of this kind of re-sale, almost – many people are paying again for a product that they have bought in some form before – I will admit I’ve bought a few of late. Particularly as I have lost, had stolen or in some cases pretty much…

Call this an exercise in free advertising if you like, but I’ve always been happy to recommend and write about music that is released by people that I consider friends. I’d be lying if I said that I like every moment of every release by each artist here, but I’d much rather offer honest opinions than a simpering ‘yeah, that’s great’. And more importantly, all of the bands mentioned here either have new releases coming and/or are playing live soon.

Oh, and apologies if I’ve not mentioned your band. Obviously I only had space for ten!
