My favorites for Grunge are probably Alice in Chains and Mother Love Bone. Electronic stuff is cool, I like listening to it if I'm driving through a city at night or something. It ends up being really cool lulz I would definitely recommend getting around to checking out Elliot Smith's stuff again. It's really good. Also I need to check some of those bands out, except Blur I remember them. Also yeah :P If you download AIM you can just use your AOL email address for it

I somehow find the time, regardless XD at least for an occasional new band! I actually got into shoegaze while in college and working almost full time. :P I still enjoy Grunge quite a bit, and there are random bands/artists I really enjoy from throughout the decade whether I've fully explored the scene they were involved in or not like The Prodigy and I used to enjoy some of the drum n bass acts that were on Moving Shadow Records back when I was in high school. I'm also getting into Elliot Smith lately. I'd have his stuff scrobbled but I don't have access outside of youtube atm >_< what else do you enjoy from that decade? Also do you have AIM or YIM or anything like that?

I've just always thought something radio-oriented would be a cool job, especially if the music being played is like that. Winter break, PERFECT SHOEGAZE TIME BECAUSE WINTER :P I'll show you if we ever get stuff recorded. I hope we do XD

I would love to have a job like that. Malory is very Slowdivey. Not Here Not Now reminds me of Just For a Day. Bethany Curve has become one of my favorites I think. Do you enjoy Whirr or Pinkshinyultrablast? I'm actually trying to get a shoegaze influenced band started btw

Whirlpool is so good @_@ Where do you work that you get exposed to new shoegaze? o_O Whatever that is sounds awesome already. I actually just recently looked into Galaxie 500 and I really like them. Also Bethany Curve and Malory. You have awesome taste :P Shoegaze is one of my favorite things ever too

Souvlaki is good. My favorite album is actually Pygmalion. It took awhile to grow on me but once it did I was in love with it. I like everything they've done though. What other shoegaze bands do you like aside from the ones it says we have in common?

sure! start with suck it and see, it has nice melodies. humbug is another good album, perhaps their 'darker' (lol not the right word choice tbh) album. i kept replaying SIAS as you can tell by my charts, but it's made me appreciate some of their material from their first album .... you might like "mardy bum" since it sounds a lot like the Libs imo. "a certain romance" too. and "when the sun goes down."

omg i tried to stay away from arctic monkeys for a long time -- their first album didn't leave much of an impression on me. but suck it and see won me over! now i've visited their discography and ~it all clicks! no but really their sound is similar to the libertines and the strokes. damn these british bands 4real. ALSO PIXIES ARE THE GR8EST. i want to marry bossanova.

i haven't really heard of good shows in the area. well, aside from radiohead, arctic monkeys came in early march (they sound a bit like the libertines so of course i like them!). OH and the pixies came twice but i was on campus -____- other than that, i can't think of others.
