We were indeed at WRM. You didn't miss anything - although they're good performers, the fucking sound was DREADFUL and you couldn't hear a damn thing, plus their main support act were really very poor. Gah. Never mind. Hmm. Not that you need to give me any music, obviously, but you know, I haven't even *heard* of most of the bands in your profile. Surprise me with anything that's not reggae. :) xx

Out of, um, objective interest, obviously, um. If I ended up giving you three CDs of music instead of one, would you have me summarily executed? There's SO MUCH I want to give you because I don't think you'll know it and it's great and and and stuff. I am HOPELESS. Sorry. Heh. :)

My goodness. There's eclecticism and no mistake. Fantastic, I bet I can find at least *something* you'll like. Hurrah! Oh, and also hey. :)

Conóceme

Nicknamed "Captain Host" by a select few, "that bloke over there" by many more.

Musician/producer based in the UK. I play in lots of bands, and help promote and organise gigs and festivals.

When I listen to boogieful music, I've been told I grin like Muttley.

Quotes that make me think:

"Wa bið þam þe sceal of langoþe leofes abidan" - The Wife's Lament

"The mainstream comes to you, but you have to go to the underground." - Frank Zappa

"When our government is taken over by economic power, that's fascism."
-Franklin D. Roosevelt

"Among the calamities of war may be justly numbered the diminution of the love of truth by the falsehoods which interest dictates and credulity encourages."
-Samuel Johnson

"As societies grow decadent, the language grows decadent, too. Words are used to disguise, not to illuminate, action: You liberate a city by destroying it. Words are used to confuse, so that at election time people will solemnly vote against their own interests."
-Gore Vidal

"To criticize one's country is to do it a service....Criticism, in short, is more than a right; it is an act of patriotism-a higher form of patriotism, I believe, than the familiar rituals and national adulation."
-J. William Fulbright

"Our tradition is one of protest and revolt, and it is stultifying to celebrate the rebels of the past...while we silence the rebels of the present."
- Henry Steele Commager

"The people never give up their liberties but under some delusion."
"The tyranny of the multitude is a multiplied tyranny."
-Edmund Burke

"Nothing in the world is more dangerous than a sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Keep grinning. Be bloody-minded. Argue with the world." - Salman Rushdie
