My Track Chart: Oct 2 - Oct 9

This week I've decided to do my top ten artists as a bonus, as I won't talk about the Nickelback songs due to them all being off the new album. If you want to read about them, wait for the album review.

Tracks

1 Nickelback - Side Of A Bullet (4)
1 Nickelback - Photograph (4)
1 Nickelback - Fight For All The Wrong Reasons (4)

1 Belle and Sebastian - Step Into My Office, Baby (4)
Man, I like this song a lot. It really is great. I don't quite know what else to say about it. If you haven't heard it, I'd suggest checking it out immediately.

1 Nickelback - Rockstar (4)
1 Nickelback - Savin' Me (4)

1 Blind Melon - No Rain (4)
Despite having been on about five thousand different adverts, this song is good, and well worth a listen - much like the Belle and Sebastian.

1 Nickelback - Animals (4)
1 Nickelback - If Everyone Cared (4)

Artists

1 Nickelback (40)
Wow, their new album really is good. Ignore some of the less kind reviews, this is definitely worth checking out - particularly if you're a Nickelback fan. Look out for my review once I get the time to do one.

2 Franz Ferdinand (28)
Their new album, You Could Have It So Much Better With Franz Ferdinand, is also very good. It seems alright at first play, and grows on you quite a lot over time.

3 KT Tunstall (17)
She has a good voice, and her album Eye To The Telescope - while rubbishly titled - has some great songs on. Possibly not for you unless you're into folky-pop music though. Although I'm not really, but I will listen to any music genre if I like the song/artist.

4 My Chemical Romance (16)
I borrowed their album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge off a friend - it's actually surprisingly good. There are a few very nice songs on there, one or two average tracks but nothing below par. Definitely worth a listen if you like anything in that style of music.

4 Reel Big Fish (16)
Ah, a bit of Ska here. Lots of fun, and their cheery mood is great fun - it'll usually make you feel a bit better no matter how down you are, although sometimes they can be too happy. Still awesome though.

6 Alter Bridge (11)
One of my favourite bands, as my overall artist chart will indicate. Nothing special about them this week, I was just listening to them because I can - and I enjoy it. In fact, so have the other people I've played them to.

7 Breaking Benjamin (7)
Possibly my favourite band, but not definitely, I still haven't found a song by these guys that I don't like. "Kudos" to them for that.

8 Belle and Sebastian (6)
Lots of fun, but not in the Reel Big Fish Ska-style. Still cheery though, and worth listening to, especially if you're feeling down.

9 R.E.M. (5)
Talking of feeling down, here's R.E.M. - In fact, the guys have said that their famous song Everybody Hurts no longer belongs to them, but rather to everyone who has taken solace from it.

9 The Magic Numbers (5)
Nothing that special here, but I had a quick flick through their album and decided that it was fairly good. They don't stand out greatly (in my opinion), but that doesn't stop them being good.
