Cheers Eamonn :) All the times I saw your band mentioned on the MDB forum, I never actually got around to listening to you until just the other day. I am really impressed, it's excellent stuff indeed :)

    I'm loving YOB!

Oh thanks, I'll check YOB out this evening if I get the chance. And I knew you were joking about the TWH thing...it's all horseplay with you! :-P But no, I'm listening to NHTCY again now. This will only be my second listen from start to finish, so it's about time! As you may have guessed from my forum posts, I have been under rather a lot of stress lately, or I would have listened a lot more by now! By the way, I love the way you've got that intro track going into Frozen so seamlessly...

You do indeed need to get yourself some Dead Can Dance! Their music is exquisite to the max. Get 'Within The Realm Of A Dying Sun' first, then see me about the rest. Nick Cave's work is also superb. Murder Ballads...Song Of Joy! O'Malley's Bar! Good stuff. So what did you make of The Proposition as a film? I personally loved it...very dramatic and intense. And thanks for the nudge regarding TWH...I've been meaning to listen to the album again, and will do this evening!

Thanks! Well unfortunately I didn't get to see Thou in the end...I had to leave the venue before the gig had even started due to reasons too boring and long-winded to mention! I did see the band going in though...needless to say they were looking intense and ready to kick ass. My friend tells me that it was a great night, so I'm gutted that I missed out! Anyway, I'll be in the Lake District when you have your gig, but have a great time.

Well I'm excited, to say the least, and I'll look forward to hearing the 'surprises' in each track. That's an approach that we take in Torture Garden too...albums are never a good listen when the songs all bleed into one other because they sound the same and there's nothing to distinguish them. Incidentally, we're in the studio this week recording a new song, which should be available for listening very soon. It's been ages since we were able to finish a song, so it feels good to get things moving again. Things are also looking positive on the lineup front, so hopefully some exciting times are ahead for both our bands!

I will indeed let you know how it goes! Yes, I've just heard your two full-lengths and left a comment on your MySpace. The 30 second samples sound equally promising. Of course I'm reserving final judgement for when I hear the entire meisterwerk, but so far I'm actually blown away the atmosphere. Very dark, mysterious and...er...atmospheric! Also, your death vocals are killer, and I really like the drum sound.
