Sorry, I was being indirect. If you don't mind me asking, how do you feel about Chavez? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esnu69T2JfA&feature=related

And then I hate how people tend to think that very technical means bad, without feelings and without emotions. Like, I was watching some lectures about ballet these days and it's funny how people criticize ballet for it being too technical and without emotions just like people say with prog music, and then there is contemporary dancing which is the opposite: "full of emotions", less technical, closer to people's daily life. But still, for me classical ballet is infinitely more beautiful than contemporary dancing, the first can look beautiful for me at least because it's something very hard to do, the second...meh, pseudo intelectual stuff ¬¬ Albums like DT's Scenes From a Memory and Persefone's Core can some times make me cry even though they are so full of tech stuff. And the "poppish" usual song structure kills the surprise aspect, so important when bringing emotion to people. Also, I don't like lyrics related to my daily life xD Man, this shout is full of random ideas o.O

Well, I know very clearly that metal is also part of the popular culture and, that said, of the pop music. But even though metal is not always my so called "hard-to-listen-music", it is the "place" I can find find quite easily technical music, experimental music, avant-garde music, minimalistic music, concept albums, neo-classical music, anti-music, ambient music and art music. I'm past the age of believing that metal is not commercial or something like that, but what I meant about not liking poppish stuff in my metal is that I'm always trying to find bands doing something different in their music (and bands that show me genres outside metal in their music), even though I like bands like Nightwish or Unsun.
