My old 80s Metal Vinyl
A big picfest this time - 50 photos! This is a few months worth of vinyl, all smashed together in an orgy of vinyl insanity that I hope you all enjoy. So, let's get on with it!
Boris With Merzbow: 3 beautiful LPs on red w/black&white streaks. A mighty fine live collab here and a very nice package from Southern Lord

Deathspell Omega - Box Set. 5xPic Disc with Infernal Battles, Inquisitors of Satan, Manifestations 2000-2001, Manifestations 2002, Bestial Orgies, The Suicide Curse, Seal of Perversion. Fantastic package with a gigantic poster and thick postcard style, 12" cards with album art.

Deathspell Omega - Paracletus on black. Another amazing vinyl package from Norma Evangelium Diaboli - those guys really know what they're doing when it comes to vinyl. This is perhaps DsO's finest moment since Si Monumentum, and so much easier to fathom than Fas.

Adai - Felo De Se on black with side B etching. This is a band to watch out for because this 20 minutes of sludge is totally engaging

Angantyr - Hævn on gold. Very limited release with CD from northern silence - one of the best labels out there.

Kermania - Ahnenwerk on translucent green. Another fantastic German black metal band from Ván Records

Antaeus - De Principii Evangelikum on white. God I love this band, one of the most violent black metal acts ever to exist!

Arktika - heartwrencher on black with side B etching. Not normally a fan of post-hardcore, but these guys have a better vocalist than is normal for hardcore (IMO of course)

Arktika - at zero on white+blue w/black,blue,white splatters

Blut aus Nord - Ultima Thulée on black. A total fucking masterpiece of black metal. I wrote a review of this album HERE

Blut Aus Nord - The Mystical Beast of Rebellion on black/white A/B effect vinyl. Long overdue for re-release and on some beautiful wax as well!

Brutal Truth - Evolution Through Revolution on red. Be a Good American!

Burzum - Fallen on "flesh" vinyl. Came with 3 puny buttons :-\ Also, huge fold in the corner because Plastichead can't package vinyl worth a shit apparently. Fuckers.

Death - The Sound of Perseverance on clear w/red splatters. 3rd best Death album ;-)

Deströyer 666 - Defiance on clear. Possibly the best band name ever...

Electric Wizard - Black Masses on clear/translucent purple/black tri-colour wax. Admit it - you want it! :-P

Funeral Mist - Maranatha on black. This is totally fucking furious black metal. Everything Arioch/Mortuus touches turns to gold at the moment.

Grails - Deep Politics on hazy yellow+hazy brown w/side D etching. Awesome.

Heretoir - Heretoir on white w/CD. This album is very highly recommended for fans of Alcest, especially if you liked Écailles de lune.

Hooded Menace - Fulfill the Curse on white. This is some of the flat out best death/doom I've ever heard! No shit, if you dig good old fashioned crunchy doom with death vocals then go and check this out now!

Hooded Menace - Never Cross The Dead on black. Even better than Fulfill the Curse!

Immortal - Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism on red/black A/B effect

Immortal - Pure Holocaust on black/white A/B effect

Immortal - At the Heart of Winter on blue with white frost! Fuck Immortal are awesome.

Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas on translucent purple.

Nachtmystium - Demise on purple w/funky ass splatter

Nachtmystium - Eulogy IV on clear w/black, white splatter

Nachtmystium - Instinct: Decay on translucent blue

Nachtmystium - Assassins: Black Meddle Part I on translucent yellow

Nachtmystium - Addicts: Black Meddle Pt. II on grey

Red Sparowes - At The Soundless Dawn on "swamp" (i.e. clear/green A/B effect)

Red Sparowes - Every Red Heart Shines Toward the Red Sun on "red sun" (i.e. red/yellow A/B effect)

This Will Destroy You - This Will Destroy You on black/silver with funky ass splatters

Morbid Angel - Formulas Fatal to the Flesh on clear. Someone hurry the fuck up and repress their back catalog already!

Watain - Lawless Darkness on black. Another NoEvDia release - comes with a huge, huge ass poster and awesome lyric booklet on the middle part of the 3-fold jacket. Impressive package for a blistering album.

Windmills by the Ocean - II on "pagan sun" (i.e. black/red A/B effect). A little bit disappointing after their first one, but still a fine album.

And last, but most certainly not least:
Wodensthrone - Loss on blue. Truly beautiful package this one. Only problem is, the guy who runs Thorn Laceration is a total fucking idiot and packaged this in a manner similar to what I'd expect a dickhead to package it. Fucking almost ruined it totally. As there is the cover an inner sleeves are badly damaged. Still pissed off about this one. Amazing how people just don't notice your email once they've gotten your money...
Anyway, enough whinging. Fucking brilliant album this one, I'm looking very much forward to their future releases.

And there we have it, a goddamn marathon of wax. Hope you enjoyed it, it may be a while before the next one. But rest assured - there will be a next one ;-)
Adios amigos!
