Seriously, VAST live is an experience. Hmm. Well, I just moved a few days ago, my computer still needs to be set up (on my roommate's), but let me track the acoustic down for you. I must say, VAST is an amazing band live. Ever have the chance to see them live? I'm itching to see them again. It was almost... ethereal. Hmm... I can't say I've ever heard of Porcupine Tree. Any recommended tracks?

Stripped-down is true. The self-titled era was when I first got into the band (while I was in high school). I went to the very last tour they did and it was completely mind-blowing. I listened to the self-titled on repeat for the longest time. I don't know how, but I got away with playing Darkest Days in my art class all the time. SW was my first real rock concert, mosh-pit, everything. I was stuck on a Greyhound for over a day (more recently), listened to a lot of SW, Joy Division, VAST, Bowie, Kill Hannah. I find I relate more and more over the years. 'Breathe You In' hit me like a pound of bricks on the bus. I listened to it on repeat for while. Sometimes I feel as though the words were plucked right out my mind, only perfected. Another thing I love about the ST, is the vocals are more crisp. You are right, The Only thing is an incredible love song, I haven't found anything that tops it. Have you heard the acoustic of Television?

Ah, I completely understand. I have issues, struggling with Chris' new band. I honestly liked the demos, when The Dreaming first started up, now Etched In Blood dropped, not so much. I'm rather surprised to see the self-titled is a favorite. For some reason, I have attatchment to all the albums, but especially from the second album on up. You are right, he doesn't sound much like Chris anymore. His vocals in SW always impressed me. Now it seems like he isn't making as much of an effort... The Dreaming lacks the same feeling SW had, which was incredible. Sorry, I don't talk to many SW fans, so this is kind of nice. My devotion is deep enough to the point where my first tattoo was the SW symbol.

Dude, she's a fucking poseur for sure. Before she met me she only listened to really shitty music and then afterwards started copying whatever I listened to, Love/Hate, Wildhearts, Bullets and Octane.. The second I blew her off she started listening to anything glam so she could fit in with the Hollywood scene. Poseur for sure. And dude, that fucking sucks. She's fucking nuts. I don't get why she does this shit if she's supposedly religious and shit. Come on, just say fucking no. It's not hard. As for the sex, she sucked in bed. Fucked for hours and she couldn't get me off she was so bland. I finally gave up when the sun was out and was like, okay I'm going to sleep. I heard from a friend a few months later she was talking smack about me in the sack or something, which I found hilarious considering her talents between the sheets...

I would like to apologize for bringing Jenny into Hollywood. If it wasn't for me, she would have never discovered anything in Hollywood. She is pretty fucking psycho. I we had a thing for maybe a whole 3 days that she ended up fucking up by being weird, flipping out, and slashing the back of my convertible's window (which I doubt she'll ever admit to, but who the fuck climbs into someone else's car to sleep and then claims the window was already slashed? yeah, likely story). I received calls from her crying for weeks after the fact too. I was with this chick I was dating one of the times and I told her that I was in the middle of getting a blowjob (lie, 'cause we had just finished having sex) and she just called me an asshole and cried and never called again. I mean come on, who calls at 6 in the goddamn morning to cry over the phone to a guy who doesn't want you? Psychooooo..

"Coupled With" is good but really, everything they do is really fucking good. I'd say "Earth vs. the Wildhearts" is my favorite because it's a classic but it's hard to say really. I love "Fishing for Luckies," "P.H.U.Q." and "the Wildhearts" just as much. I tend to prefer their more riffy stuff, if you couldn't tell.
