Yeah i use Discogs for bargains too, ha. Did manage to pick up a Dylan record in-store for £15 the other day but it's Mono. If Vinyl never got replaced with CD's i'd have an original pressing of Pink Flag. Maybe you'll just stumble across it one day whilst looking through.

Maybe you won't prefer Raw Power then, but it is a really good album. I don't get the way they price some Vinyl, if it's obscure it expensive, but if it's really popular (Bowie/Dylan/Zep) its expensive too. Never spotted any post-punk albums apart from Unknown pleasures when I've gone in record shops. Here's a link it's a decent site, a bit hit and miss for stock and there's obviously P&P.

Yeah, I like all their albums but it would have been good if they recorded more stuff as a punk(ish) band. Try The Stooges - Raw Power and The Velvet Underground - White Light/ White Heat. I think I prefer White Light to ... & Nico, it does sound it little further from a punk sound though, until you make it to the epic 17 minute orgasm that is Sister Ray. I think you'd prefer Raw Power out of the two. If you've not got much else to do give Spiral Scratch by the Buzzcocks a listen, only 11 minutes so you don't need much spare time, for me one of the best EPs ever, before they become pop-punk.

I listened to it, thought it was ok, will give it a few more listens though. Have you got round to listening to any of them post-punk albums yet?

True dat. I've kinda got bored in recent years but right up to the release of Smile (Japanese version > US version!) they were killer.

Just looked through your library and you've listened to most of them. Killing Joke's self titled one is good but has elements of new wave in it. Public Image Ltd. - First issue is really good, Joy Division - An Ideal For Living has more of a punk sound than their other stuff. You might like Siouxsie and the Banshees - The Scream. If If they turn out to be good suggestions, don't hesitate to ask for more, could probably recommend some Proto-punk stuff you'd like.

I just listened to that today, really good album. Their other albums are supposed to be good but I've not got round to listening to them. Gang of Four - Entertainment! is a similar album, probably my favourite post-punk one. I could think of loads it just depends how open to distorted/punk sounds you are. I'd give the songs I Heard It Through the Grapevine - The Slits and Johnny Was - Stiff Little Fingers a listen you might not like the albums they're on but for me two of the best covers ever.

Yeah, I think most people can appreciate Mykonos, it's v good. Fleet Foxes can become repetitive though, hearing the same harmonies is my only problem. luv them otherwise :^)
