Since you listen to Dengue Fever you may also like reading my article on Cambodian music. http://www.laboratoriummuzycznychfuzji.com/2013/06/labopedia-muzyka-kambodzy-panstwa-w.html If you like it you may also click "lubię to" button to like my website (on the right handside of the page). There's a translation tool in the top right corner.

I bet you have a bit of extra time to listen to music on those extremely long bus rides! Stay warm, Deb!

Wandering about again within your musical world and I thought you might be interested in the following: Silversun Pickups = Circa Survive or Shiny Toy Guns and Jimmy Eat World = Jack's Mannequin or Dashboard Confessional...keep on listening!

I was stumbling through your Library and noticed you listened to Porcupine Tree. Suggest you also listen to Blackfield and/or Steven Wilson as they are a nice extension into their alternate musical forays...

Things are good this way, Deb. Glad that I live in central Bangkok where it's still dry!!

You're still around! I thought you might be gone from last.fm for good. Happy to see some new tunes from you.

Hey Deb! Glad you found me here. Yes, doing the scrobble thing - and also have added Napster which is kind of ironic, back using it after 10+ years!

I haven't dropped by to say hello in a long while! You doing OK? I got that Lindstrøm & Christabelle "Lovesick" track from KEXP back in the summer. I quite like it.

Thanks for the add! It seems that when one checks out your charts, you must be totally awesome:)) I had forgotten how much I used to listen to Aloe Blacc and Emanon back in the day. Have a great weekend!

Hi Deb! Hope you're enjoying the holidays. Did you get snowed in last week?

Yikes, Deb! Major life changes, indeed. I can understand not wanting to ruin good music by association. It's been a long while since I've gone through a break-up, but I seem to remember listening to songs to fuel my anger...probably something like AC/DC :-P I could handle anger a little better than being sad! Life in Bangkok is going well. The husband started a new job in Jakarta in July, so the separation part sucks. What are some of the other artists in your "neo-pychedelica" playlist? I'll have to check them out.

Hi Deb! Just dropped by for a look around. I noticed that Black Moth Super Rainbow are in your top artists. I just downloaded their album "Eating Us" from Emu this week. I've only given it the cursory 1st listen, but quite like "Born on a Day the Sun Didn't Rise". How are things on your side of the world?

Listening to music is one of my favorite pastimes (…can you tell?). Usually on the weekend I try and catch up with my D/L’s. Pulling all-nighters help accomplish that quicker. I make sure the MP3 file tags are up to my satisfaction and they’re backed up (never can be too careful, eh?). To help me wade through my tunes I also love setting up a variety of playlists to amuse me. The basic ones count the number of plays – 0 thru 6 times played. That way I can delve into each playlist without too many “singular” repeat plays – I hate that “shuffle” sometimes gets lazy and plays either songs or artists more than once. Of course, some artists deserve more attention than others, but I try to listen to everything at least 2-3 times before deciding to archive it, put it on my MP3 player or move it to my music server. Playlists, especially the “smart” playlists are loads of fun to set up. I set several thematic ones up that always make me smile when I play them. Happy listening…

Hi! it's Katrina formerly of emusic...can't post at emusic anymore. But I do check the boards out still, good to see they offered you a month free!

I've never had issues with using my D/L's every month. I have two eMusic accounts and after burning through them each month I hunger for more. After joining eMusic I found my potential for discovery of new artists expanded exponentially. There is no shortage of music available in eMu-land for me...eMusic always reminded me of the "good old days" and my favorite record stores. Browse, browse, browse, grab a few releases because they appear interesting and be surprised that they are - repeat as necessary. After the rollout in July, I may reconsider the status of my subscription(s). I mean losing 1/2 of my D/L's per month while paying the same amount is not very appealing to me at all. FWIW, eMusic still provides an incredible deal and value for the music I like to listen to/discover that cannot be matched anywhere else (...at least at this point in time). The only shortcoming is that I will no longer take any chances on a D/L - every D/L will count now.

to echo silverchimes, will eMusic continue to be a resource for your music??

Oh man! How do you feel about the new eMusic deal? It'll definitely be a bit more difficult to make that "semi-blind" download (at least for me).

You can "see" me here: http://www.emusic.com/profile/index.html?nickname=Eireboy on eMusic. I suspect it was a spelling thing - the first letter is capitalized (...for no real reason as far as I know).
