• South African Radiohead Fans...Look At This!!!!

    Demand Radiohead

This site basically allows people to demand a certain band to a certain place...

Yes, you’re probably thinking that it’s a barbaric way of getting a band to come to a venue and bands people too. But, this site simply allows a band to see how many people in a certain place (like South Africa) enjoy their music and therefore they can decide whether it’s worth going over to that country...

And I know that South Africa has a hell of a lot of Radiohead fans so come on people lets ask them to come here!!!
  • Work From Home by David Leonhardt

If you are wondering why somebody barricaded alone in his basement needs a policy to keep him from stealing his own office equipment, you have obviously never sat alone in your basement 23 hours a day, day after day, in front of a computer screen that freezes every now and then just out of sadistic spite.

Policies designed to keep employees from scratching each others' eyes out are even more important in a home office. In a corporate setting, spiteful employees go home at night and forget the objects of their loathing. But when one detests oneself, office politics often gets too personal to just forget. And that pest even follows you into the shower...when you take one, that is.

Here are a few guidelines you can use to formulate practical home office policies, just in case you get the hankering to live the glamorous life of the work-from-home hermit.

Every office has rules against sexual harassment. Due to legal requirements, you must adopt a zero tolerance policy for such insensitive advances. If your spouse complains about such a policy, seek legal council. Divorce can be ugly.

Office romance is another story. Most companies permit office romances, as long as there is not an actual office involved. In the home office, romance is encouraged, mostly to avoid the legal repercussions mentioned above.

Generally, spouses do not frown on home office affairs, either. In fact, they usually approve such morale-building activities...as long as this function is not outsourced.

Most companies have policies on showing up late for work. Most work-from-home hermits do not know what this means. No policy required.

Many large employers encourage car pooling. Please resist the temptation to car pool to your home office. The SUV might have a great sound system, but it just won't fit through the dining room door.

Pets are not permitted in most office settings. In your home office, roaming animals are an important customer service feature: "Yes, I agree. Your report should claim that profits are swollen, not stolen. Must've been that darn cat frolicking on the keyboard again."

I was asked recently by a survey company if my business is wheel-chair accessible. I responded, "My business is a website. Why would you want to roll a wheelchair over my website?" Maybe I need a policy on that.

A final word on office gossip. Don't. If gossip in the home office gets out of control, whose feelings are going to get hurt? Right! And who else's? Right again. If self-inflicted humiliation is not for you, maybe you are more cut out for a job that involves policies against "removing paper fastening devices from the premises".

    Beatallica

This is a funny rip off of Beatle songs, with Metallica tunes. The lyrics are original though. I have a couple of songs, who can download some of them off their website: http://www.beatallica.com/

I enjoy the fact that they aren't destorying the song, but making fun out of some serious songs.

  • SPace StAring DOWN AT me ?!?

    18 Nov 2005, 13:37

Wrote science today, I don’t know if I should do it next year. Since I’m becoming either a musician or a film editor, do I really need it? So, anyway I was dazing into the big wide open fustrated sky of blue, when I was thinking…nothing actually. I found relaxsation, which was great, and escape from work and all the shit, that u take everyday. So u should just spend about 30 to 60 min a day just staring into space, try relax. You’ll feel better afterwards...

By the way, has anyone got that Coldplay DVD?
  • Ek sAl in die oggend ‘n AfrikAAns EksamEn skryf ?!? [I shall write an Afrikaans Exam…

    10 Nov 2005, 17:28

I’ve been studying Afrikaans since, 10:00 this morning. The language is similar to that of Dutch and German. I’m not good at it, like my friends are. They can speak it fluently, I can speak a bit, but I can’t speak it properly. So what kinda second language do you have to learn at your school? Can you tell me your country as well? Dankie [Thank You]

To answer the previous question that I posed, you have to convert the temperature into Fahrenheit. Then double it and then convert back into Celsius, I think its something like -18, 89ºC...
  • THE LIFE OF me ?!?

    7 Nov 2005, 12:18

I’m sitting here, stressed out of my mind so I decided to write down useful information, that will be of no importance to any one…so here is goes.

Exams are starting……………….I’m on Prozac. What a wonderful drug, also the stress tablets help. Besides that life just goes on, I just wanna be a drummer for the rest of my life. Yet, some how I have to have a matric certificate, in order to go to film school. So I kinda have to stay here, at school.

My question for the day, and this is a hard one. If the temperature on Monday is 0°C and it is twice as cold on Tuesday, what is the temperature on Tuesday.

    Hint: America

Really, sorry can't write, I've gotta study for lovely exams. Anyway, here is a bit of advertising...

Are you political, as in do you have an opinion on what is happening to our / your world. Then join the group which you can discuss anything from political music, movies to religion. Join the “Political People” group.
  • Music and Movies are my truE LovE, NOT STREss!?!

    1 Nov 2005, 20:17

Sorry, that can’t express how bad I’ve been by not writing. The weeks have been hell and I’ve literally found no time. Exams are coming up soon, that’s gonna be really “fun” (sarcasm).

Anyway, you must check out the one of my new groups “Epic Movies and Films”. It’s a cool forum for movie lovers (a bit of advertising). I just watch Batman Begins, good movie, shows batman had a darker side and wasn’t so perfect, which is nicer.

Now the question for the day, what are manners, should you conform to manners.
  • Democracy is corrupted and so is my MiNd!?!

    26 Oct 2005, 18:38

Just finished learning for a science test, I seriously I’m lost. Anyway I saw a movie last night called “Nochnoy dozor” (Nightwatch). I fell asleep, not because it was bad, but because I was very sleepy. I had a full day, that yesterday. It was a Russian film, about the Dark and Light and the on going battle to keep a truce going. I quiet like films and TV series to do with that sorta stuff. The subtitles were done really well, if some one shouted, they would make the subtitles huge.

Anyway, I was thinking, in my break from science, is every baby born innocent, because I believe that every one is born 50 / 50. One side Mother Teresa and the other Hitler. As we progress in our life we started to lean towards one side or the other. What are your thoughts and beliefs...
