It was... rather fantastic, much better than their show at the Palace a couple of years ago. They played mostly older stuff so yeah... no complaints from me :P

One of those bands that I've never gotten around to listening to... although I probably should. Another pro tip: Clint Mansell - Requiem for a Dream. It's top stuff

Untrue is the album that every raves about (because it's a phenomenal piece of music) but pretty much everything he touches turns to gold. Also recommend his "Street Halo EP" and the split EP with Massive Attack. Here's a link to his stuff: http://www.hyperdub.net/releases/view/149/HDB059 Harvest could be the most interesting festival of the year but I have no idea how they're going to top Portishead... unless they get Radiohead maybe

By the way if you're still digging the ambient stuff give Burial a listen, this new EP of his is unbelievably good. Takes a bit of listening to get into his sound, very unique stuff, but well worth it

I was very tempted... I mean, I've been to the past three festivals but something really didn't click with me, just like Big Day Out. The main band for me is obviously Mastodon, but they're not great outdoors and I'm going to the sideshow anyway. System of a Down are apparently rubbish live and the only other thing of real interest is Marilyn Manson... don't get me wrong the lineup is good but it doesn't have a headliner to tempt me out of $170. Bit over festivals anyway, same goes for Big Day Out. Pretty keen for Meredith and Harvest later in the year though. How about you? No luck with the Mastodon sideshow?

Meshuggah/ Devin sideshow confirmed today! That and the Cathedral/ Paradise lost sidewaves are just droolworthy. Enjoy them, I'd go over to Melbourne for some sideshow action if I had the doe, wish I lived there instead of quiet ole Perth.

Always good to find people that are similarly minded musically. I'm quite well, just listening to some music with a beer after a day of packing and working :P So I see you are going to Soundwave and Boris as well? It's going to be a great March for us both :D

Dragon Tattoo is pretty much all I've been listening to for the past few weeks, it's incredibly good... all three hours of it. Even caved and bought the signed vinyl despite what my bank balance said. Highly recommend it, shits all over Ghosts and it's just an amazing piece of music all round
