Yes I booked this show because I had for the previous 3 times that The Posies had come to town missed them. Each and every time I had car issues. ~~is that the reason my car died earlier this month~~

I went to pick up the bands before the show to do a signing at Cactus and Brendan Benson, The Posies, & crew were tossing around the football while the Tour Manager (Ryan) was taking care of business. Brendan got nailed in the groin right as I drove up, although he took it in stride. Aqueduct drove up shortly after and we all loaded into a big white SUV.

The signing couldn't have been more chill, the guys got to walk around and dig through the vinyl as people walked up to them and took pics and got autographs, I think that's a good thing that they weren't sitting at a table with a dull line in front of them. After a bit of time, Brendan walked across the street to Rockin' Robin to shop some more (though he didn't walk out with a Banjolin…Jon, Ken, Dave & I invented a Banjo/Mandolin that we thought Brendan would have loved).

After soundcheck Ken & I went to Niko Niko's while Jon shopped for some wine at Specs. Warning to all, do not order a burger at Niko Niko's unless you want to wait forever.

The show started right on time. Next time I'll make sure the show starts later, as there were only a few of dozen people in attendance for Aqueduct, but that didn't discourage them as they played a solid set and I'm sure in cities where there were more people got some good conversions (and hopefully in Houston too). Brendan played next to the largest portion of the crowd, as I'm sure many people recognized him from The Raconteurs, he played several songs that made me leave the "box office" to snap some photos. I wish I'd been able to take more or video something. Finally The Posies took the stage; I wish the crowd had been larger, but at least I knew that they were probably familiar with the music. They weren't discouraged by the size of the crowd, and definitely rocked it out.

The sound was awesome, the club was the right venue for them, the crowd was strong, just not enough numbers. Hopefully when they come again there will be more people to see them. The set list is below, but I'm not sure it's correct as I don't think I got the order correct on the encore.
