Hi, haha that's okay, I always wonder who looks at my profile anyway. And apparently, I tend to do the same thing too, because I'm always curious what kind of music people have in their playlist, and curiosity is a need for knowledge, lol. Thank you for stopping by, though, and I hope your day is fantastic. Happy Halloween.

Hi Karl - yep, the lyrics are printed on the CD inlay for Plumb. Not sure whether they're online anywhere but if you email me - info at field-music dot co dot uk I can send a text file

Ha ha ha - I had to go look up the shout on the i am the least of your problems (demo) track you were referring to and it was indeed a good one. The only other band that moves me as consistently with their music as Future of the Left manages to is my favorite band of all time, NoMeansNo. And yes, I completely share your sense of being witness to something very forthright, truthful and direct when I listen to these guys' music. It's really quite special indeed. Have you caught them perform live yet? I'd love to see the new line-up and hope they'll pay my hometown another visit before long. I've seen the original line-up and the one after that about a handful of times.

Thanks for the shout sir! It is a shame, but there's always the hope of more... the distant, tiny hope, but hope nonetheless.

I always find it really hard to pick the best album by an artist - particularly OB. The albums are all good in their own ways. I just got 'Only A Lad' and 'Boingo' (not to be confused with 'Boi-Ngo' - completely different), which I both love. They're the first and last albums. OaL is really more new wave and leaning towards pop, and has the famous 'Little Girls' as the first track, which you may have heard about on the Internet because of its contoversial subject matter (but it's NOT actually about paedophiles, really). Still a great song and a great album. Boingo is REALLY different. The songs (except 'Tender Lumplings') are all much longer, with 'Change' at 16 mins. The album is more guitar-heavy, but I still love it. If you just want to hear a few songs to get into OB, listening to a comp. might be best. Sorry. Long shout without much help. The downloads here are actually a pretty good start: http://michaeldowney.co.uk/oingo.htm All free, so you don't have to buy a CD to hear them.

Hey, thanks for the message - hope you don't mind my snooping. I was checking out your journal - it's an interesting concept, and an enjoyable read. I guess the music on your profile isn't really representative of your true tastes considering your unconventional listening habits, but theres some of good stuff there. I will check out that website, I may have stumbled upon it before, I'm not sure.

(But if you do want to look into Felt a little further, go for Forever Breathes The Lonely Word next, it's probably the one album that comes closest to PP in epicness, though not in the general sound ...)

Indeed I can't think of another Felt song that's anything like PP, but you could try the other people involved in the making of that song - Cocteau Twins! Though with your profile that new, chances are you know them well already and just haven't scrobbled them yet - apologies in that case. If that isn't the case, get your hands on Blue Bell Knoll and Treasure - quick! :) [MAC]

Conóceme

Read my very outdated last.fm journaly bloggy thingy. Low on embarrassing personal tidbits, high on embarrassingly purple prose and mostly feeble attempts to articulate why I love the music I love.

Jon Ajvide Lindqvist's last collection, Let The Old Dreams Die (Swedish version). I think his short work is his best, but who cares, really, when it's all so flipping amazing?
