I feel that you're missing out on my cooking music, being so far away and all. Listen to Caravan Palace. Start with 'Jolie Coquine' or 'Dragons'. You'll hate it no doubt, but sharing is caring.

Thus it came to pass: Kohaigun, 14055 plays since 5 Apr 2009. van_der_Waals, 14056 plays since 14 Sep 2011. There is no glory in outstripping donkeys.

Hey man, nah unfortunately Likes Lions disbanded at the beginning of the year. Three of us are talking about starting up a new project, though, which will be a bit different (and hopefully much better) than what we were doing with LL. Thanks for taking an interest, sweet taste in music dude!

IMO Fightstar are under-rated, they did the whole post-rock inspired hardcore before most of the scene (srs) and implemented symphonic bits literally just before it got popular. They should really have a massive legacy but that isn't the case from what I've seen. Be Human for me is the best just because although it does still have Cure & Deftones influences it's a bit interesting than the first two.

I swear Matt doesn't take care of his voice. He hit a peak vocally on the 3rd and 4th but just went down hill. It's not that I'm a vocal expert but it's like he has poor technique or doesn't exercise his voice and just starts singing. But I think they're still talented guys and I reckon they won't stay as a "hardcore band" for long and maybe 2 albums later will release something really big. What's your views on Fightstar? To me they don't get the legacy/love they deserve right now.

Personally I thought it was pretty good, based on one listen. They are a great band and I would put every album they're released as 8.5/10 and they've always done catchy hardcore really well but this new album is to me what id consider a real hardcore record. It just oozes of a band who is knows they're not re-inventing the wheel but is doing it well (via the point of any good veteran hardcore/metal band) I like them trying to add 1st wave metalcore inspiration, 90s revival is only getting bigger and they have a good platform to jump on it. I think when I buy it I will listen to it doesen of times over but for now I'm jerking BMTH, FOB and Soul! BTW you see Architecs are prepping a 6th album? Its good to see the younger generation (1yr differnece) value my strong, poorly aticulated opinions. :)

I only considered people retarded with the joke of tweeking that guys shout out on the album page. I get why people prefer Hollow Crown to Daybreaker, but I just didn't enjoy Hollow Crown that much. I don't find Hollow Crown as the energetic record everybody talks about, I mean the title track as the end is beautiful but the rest of the album is too similar song wise. Daybreaker offered a bit more diversity. Daybreaker lyrically is more interesting, every band out there nowadays will deal with their personal shit.

Yes, I think it's true that the overall quality of their music improved. Especially Hayley's vocals. (I've seen them live about 2 years ago; it seemed that she skipped all the higher parts then by letting the crowd sing. Nowadays, in their live vid's, she doesn't seem to.) But I really don't like the fact that they've turned so mainstream. I just like the more... 'original' (I think) sound of their debut better :]. And yesss I'm veggie :] you too or?
