Hi Jenn! It's textile as it goes, I bought some to make a shift dress but haven't got round to it yet. My favourite colours together, the pattern is called Bauhaus Steel, by Alexander Henry, I think you can still buy it.

Thanks for the add! I also appreciate your collection - and now that I've just returned from Coachella 2013 with renewed interest in musical discoveries, thanks for sharing your listens and radio channel.

As I was leaving the library yesterday,I noticed a man struggling to carry a book which was six feet in length. I asked him what was that all about. He said it was a long story.

Thank you... Like the sounds from DIIV! Had a quick spin around my library and found that you are very well listened indeed! No much new from me for your books! About the only things I'm playing that I couldn't see were Bear's Den... A group saw live as a support act to the Smoke fairies.. A poor man's Mumford - but I like them, and if you like beards, then for you! and Allysen Callery an artist extremely soft and gentle! have a nice Fridayevening - How many hours behind would you be? I'm off to make me breakfast....

Cheers & Thanks for stopping by

I'm ridiculously obsessed with old buildings, and urban planning, and studying how they create community. I'm appalled when people tear down historic buildings, and I'm trying to reverse the trend. As for my day job, I'm a Feng Shui Master and Interior Designer. One of my specialties is "green renovation". The greenest building is the one that is never built. [Hint: Rework what is already there...]

As a result of Last.fm, I have discovered that although I live in California, I am quite an Anglophile, musically speaking. I am also about 3/4 British by extraction.

I love animals and I routinely hug trees. As for music, I used to be a DJ in NY, was in several bands, and have played the piano since I was 4. I think it's safe to say I love music.

Some people who inspire me:

Audrey Hepburn (born Audrey Kathleen Ruston; 4 May 1929 – 20 January 1993) was a British actress and humanitarian. She was quite possibly the most beautiful woman of all time; certainly the classiest. "I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."

Audrey, in all her glory

Gabrielle Bonheur "Coco" Chanel (19 August 1883 – 10 January 1971) was a pioneering French fashion designer whose modernist philosophy, menswear-inspired fashions, and pursuit of expensive simplicity made her an important figure in 20th-century fashion.

When asked why she did not marry the Duke of Westminster, Coco Chanel replied: "There have been several Duchesses of Westminster. There is only one Chanel."

Jane Jacobs (May 4, 1916 – April 25, 2006) was an American-Canadian writer and activist with primary interest in historic preservation, communities and urban planning. She is best known for The Death and Life of Great American Cities (1961), a powerful critique of the urban renewal policies of the 1950s in the United States.

She was also instrumental in preventing 2 freeways from cutting a swath through downtown Manhattan. "Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because, and only when, they are created by everybody."

Here's the proposed plan she defeated, thankfully:

Abbot Kinney (November 16, 1850, New Brunswick, New Jersey - November 4, 1920, Santa Monica, California) was a developer and conservationist. Kinney is best known for his "Venice of America" development in Los Angeles. “I always had a dream of building an ideal city which should be partly for study, partly for recreation, and partly for health."
