Ooo jättebra musik du lysnar på, kan jag stjäla något? :) (Jag ber om ursäkt för min svaga svenska, på norska talar jag ännu värre)

Hey, buddy. Long time no news. I was wondering if you were too busy and you probably are. Still, I thought you might find this interesting, even if it's a bit trivial nowadays: http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2F31YEWhxhoUE&h=179a3. Take care.

Hei! Aren't you coming to Oslo on the 10th of October? Pain of Salvation @ John Dee. I'm not sure you're familiar with their music though... but you never know. :)

that's quite a statement. I don't know if it's better than "Filosofem", but I'll have a better opinion on it after more spins

I've only listened to it a couple of times so far. I really like the second half better than the first half. I didn't know it wasn't getting that great of praise...the members on UltimateMetal seem to really be enjoying it, and Metal-Archives has it at 77% (which isn't bad but not spectacular)

The title of the play sounds familiar, but I haven't read or seen it. I'm sure it'll be good, and Liv Ullman being in it only makes it better. I expect a full report on how amazing it was! (btw, the other day was Ingmar Bergman's birthday. he would've been 92)

Did I say that it was on Amazon? Because it's no longer available and, boy, it IS expensive. Oh, well. Don't worry about it, I'll get my hands on it when I visit Norway. Just cross your fingers for me and our meeting, because time is going to be even more of an issue this time. :S I have to know more about this Norwegian Jazzist, definitely.

Oh yes, Voodoo! The song isn'tike the corny Pop from those times (or Mil etter Mil). Probably because Teigen still was in Popol Ace by then. Does it mean that Voodoo actually got points while Mil etter Mil didn't? Wow... The PA concert with orchestra is quite something and, cheesy or not, Teigen tends to souns better than in the albums. I do plan to get and it's fortunately available in Amazon. :)

Wow... That's from the Eurovision presentation or something like that, right? I remember you telling me that. It was a weird song for a Pop-oriented event. I also hope that'll be an incentive for a re-release of the remastered albums. There's a tiny possibility of a rushed visit to Norway in early October. We'll see.

That makes two of us, Unknown 2 (Forgot your real name). BTW, Español is much more easier than most Germanic languages because pronuntiation is simple (we only have 5 vowels, you Norwegians up the ante with two more IIRC) and Grammar flexibility. It just requires practice and sticking to one Spanish dialect as they can be so different from each other...

1st. Happy quite-belated birthday. Your MySpace profile was quite useful in these cases. Did you get any nice presents? Hopefully a couple of vinyls or something. 2nd. I hadn't noticed the The Who influence in Supper's Ready until now. Sleep deprivation and assloads of work have probably a lot to do with finding out so. 3rd. How are you?

that's what I figured since they're all Germanic languages. I also have to take a class on Middle English, so taking German wouldn't be a bad idea there either glad to hear FB stuff is coming along!

sounds good. I didn't know you were studying German. I might take some German classes because my grad program requires two years of a foreign language, and Norwegian or Swedish aren't offered ;) ...funny you mentioned Persona, because my friend and I were talking after Cries and Whispers and I thought it was fairly similar to Persona (if we consider the theme of people denying their true selves etc...)

Alright. I finally watched Cries & Whispers. good god that was intense. I was talking about it with a chap on Ultimate Metal, and he asked me what I thought was the point of the film. I said it was basically to show how horrible Liv Ullmann and Ingrid Thulin's characters were and how even in the midset of the death of their sister Agnes, all they can think about are themselves...and their men. I didn't even recognize Ingrid Thulin until about halfway through the film. Compared with how she looks in Wild Strawberries, it's like night and day. And that scene when her character (Karin) takes the piece of glass. Wow. good god the most brutal scene was Agnes screaming, "CAN'T SOMEONE HELP ME?! I CAN'T!" she could be in a metal band. all in all, a great film. definitely now one of my favorite bergman films. anyway. How are things, Eywin? Sorry I've been rather aloof lately. Three graduate level classes and my job are keeping me busy. bleh
