  • Mini Track Review 09/09/2006

This will be the first of many entries featuring mini-reviews of my favorite (and even hated) tracks; both old and new.

    Good by My Master

An appropriately powerful action cue that its a wonderful blend of techno and chorus which builds rather quickly throughout the track. This finally culminates when a violin enters as a dual lead to the chorus. This can get a bit repetitive however, and the length of the track is rather short, so this isn't perfect by any means. However the overall composition and the way in which it is used in context more than make up for these shortcomings. This was inspired from the classic track: Escape however I feel Yoko Kanno's arrangement has more substance, and can stand on its own merit.
