Back in early October I mention that I would be moving to Cincinnati for the 2015-16 academic year. While if people read the content of the post, they knew I am looking, I wanted to make things more explicit.

Now that we have confirmed our 1st African guest on Music Manumit, I guess it's time to start looking for Eastern Europe (minus Poland if you think it's not central Europe), North Africa, Middle East, Central American (minus Mexico) and Central Asia. Actually, we have a Russian lined up once I take the time to arrange for an interpreter (but that still leaves the rest of Eastern Europe). We've worked with interpreters twice before with great success.

Of course, we still take musicians from all over the world. We've just already had guests from all the other continents.

I mentioned on Tuesday that I had big news. Well, here it is! From July 2015 to July 2016, I'll be living in Cincinnati. It's still eastern time, so no changes in Music Manumit or Free Culture Sports Show recording times.

Until we move to Cincinnati, I'll continue to look for temporary and telecommute work.

For now, this project has nothing to do with music. The international community is what brought me to post on last.fm.

It's been over three years since I last wrote a Last.fm post. A lot has happened in that time. Here's some of the big events in chronological order.

I could have filled the list with just Misfits, Descendents or Minor Threat, probably but I tried to exclude songs under a minute (thus cutting out Minor Threat's "Straight Edge"). Some good hardcore songs (such as Black Flag's "Rise Above") roll in at over 2 min (2:16 in the case of "Rise Above"). I was hoping to move out of just hardcore, but that was tough (Pantera's "Fucking Hostile" rolls in at 2:47). Slayer's Necrophobic rolls in at 1:40, but I don't think it beats any of these songs. NOFX has some great fun sub-1-minutes songs, but I tried not…
