Enjoy it!Search&Destroy In english:
Within the current metal scene there are a variety of bands with genres and sub-genres, mixing private and styles that make them unique, some old and others just starting out and venture into the vast world of Fauser in which release an album or a tour may be your sink or a leap in his career, such is the case of 13 Dates of Doom, a tour that takes place for the first time in North America, which is quite peculiar and that is formed by three contemporary bands and different genres that have a strong fan base around the world. Ancient VVisdom, Blood Ceremony and led by the Swedish band Ghost, tour the East Coast starting with New York to the West Coast ending in California. Search & Destroy had the opportunity to witness this great spectacle in the sixth round that took place in Chicago, the Windy City.
Concerts during the week are not well accepted by the vast majority, but on Tuesday January 24 at The Bottom Lounge at the entrance announcing the sold out for an evening promising. At six o'clock in the afternoon started with income above a cold night and thick clouds that fostered an atmosphere for the audience waiting and eager to finally see Ghost on his first visit to the city.
A small stage in an intimate Ancient welcomed VVisdom, Austin Texas band composed of Nathan Opposition, Ribs, Michael AVV and TA, who with their unique blend of rock, metal, folk and country to redneck style, opened the concert with Alter Reality, preparing the eager audience. The Opposition, his hit, Necessary Evil, Forever Tonight, Death and Devil's Head Brain, surprised those skeptics. Among its instruments, Nathan who is also Opposition voice, merges a machete in his percussion and strings added VVorld Of Flesh for playing the cymbals and achieve a sound shocking coming to the end of his presentation with Fire By Light.
Blood was the turn of the Toronto native Ceremony with Alia O'Brien on vocals, organ and flute, Sean Kennedy on guitar, Luke on bass who Gadke particularly appeared barefoot on stage for the presentation, Andrew on drums Hauster . The place was packed with about 500 people waiting for the 70's psychedelic rock and the beauty of his flute Alia soft and whimsical. The Great God Pan to start invoking ancient gods like decades ago in the forests in Toronto. Toad Hop, Return To Forever, My Demon Brother, song that the euphoria of the attendees broke, The Witch's Dance, I'm Coming with You and to end his short but sufficient introduction, Oliver Haddo. It was awesome the connection the audience had at all times with the band and even more stage presence that projects Alia who stole the scene with its bold black-clad figure.
Ghost stellar band, originating in Sweden in 2008 took the demo / EP launch Elizabeth and one record company Opus Eponymous, have created considerable controversy, not only in our country but around the world that have become known for its particular satanic style and his lyrics that revolve around rituals of the same nature.
Pending its appearance, quite different comments were heard from those who see the band as a "puppet" and were there out of curiosity, to fans who expected a great presentation by Pope Emeritus and five Ghouls Nameless (it mention that one of them did not appear on the show because he was sick).
The clock read 8:30 pm, viewers with beer in hand, anticipating a Ghost and then red lights announcing the long-awaited moment dimly lit stage and a dense layer of smoke pervaded the four-step appeared Ghouls slow with their robes and hoods inks that cover the entire face, at once manifested an introduction to Gregorian chant, took their instruments and prepared for the grand entrance of the Pope Emeritus, who with his black casula Cardinal Cross and stripes inverted, black gloves, his cap papal brings an inverted cross and the letter "g" as a symbol of the band and his censer, inaugurated the satanic ritual with Clavi with Dio during which in the form of invitation to ritual incense spread attendees who were thrilled to finally see a band so unique that had already been postponed for various reasons their presentations on this continent. His famous Elizabeth simple then, the Pope as they were asked Emeritus their subjects that night, receiving as response cries of "Hail Satan", "Satan, Satan, Satan", "Ghost." Prime Mover, Stand By Him were pounding the small enclosure, the euphoria was growing between the present and the heat, despite the cold winter of the city, increased pace of the show. Death Knell Prayer and Satan gave way to the melodic and instrumental Genesis with its heavy proto-doom chords metal and eccentric presence of the Ghouls on stage. Here Comes The Sun, cover of The Beatles was undoubtedly one of the most chanted, but Ritual was the largest ovation of the night. Ghost gave a peculiar sound, which despite the lack of one of the Ghouls on guitar, sounded brutal. The Pope Emeritus approached to greet the attendees who were near the stage and made gestures in the form of gratitude because her face was expressionless. Upon retiring stage an "Outro" came to say goodbye to the group.
The public was satisfied and demonstrated with a standing ovation when Ghost lights are lit at 9:40 pm arrivals, and culminated after 50 minutes of the most extravagant performances, shocking, shocking envelopes and heavy metal scene of today .
Among the people could be seen a parade of shirts that included Charles Manson, Rob Zombie, Witchcraft, black clothes, long hair that did not stop "Headbanger" among other gadgets in different bands.
"More than concert, play," he said of Ghost presentations, comments, really wrong, as the band shows a great dedication to the people out of his role as eccentric ritual and music with dark lyrics.
