2007 is going to be another great year of music. Here's a list of 2007 releases which are already out, leaked (the albums which I have liked) or I'm looking forward to. Feel free to expand my list if there's something you think I'd enjoy as I'm sure there's stuff I don't know about or I'm forgetting. I'm not completely sure if Ephel Duath are going to release a new album other than the remix album but I'll keep my thumbs up. They have mentioned a new album and I don't think "remix album" would exactly qualify as one... but I dunno. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'll try to keep this updated every now and then. I'm too lazy to update this list with releases I already have (which aren't on the list) so only upcoming releases will be updated.

Last update on 2nd May 2007.

Oh yes, I forgot the new Deerhoof. I definitely liked it, good stuff. Gotta check out new Air even though I have heard it's not good. New Jesu is also good news, will have to get that. And new Swallow the Sun? I'll definitely have to get that. Thanks for letting me know about these.

i didn't like the deerhoof as much as thier previous two albums, the air is not as good as talkie walkie, but it's good in it's own right. the instrumentals are the highlight. and for me jesu peaked with heart ache. and the swallow the sun is great, it has a very opeth feel to it. which is, of course, a good thing. you also might enjoy the psyopus and beneath the massacre albums.

Do you know when that Julian Fane comes out? Amazon et al say Feb 20, but his MySpace page says it's been delayed till April.

  • DSlayer

If his myspace says it's been delayed, that's most likely true. A lot of sites are always behind on updates. It has leaked though.

The new Riverside is pretty weak, actually. I'd definitely recommend you to go with the Pain of Salvation release instead.

early summer so it's probably coming out in a month or two. These past months, Devin worked on his puppet show but this project evolved into a full-length concept CD in the vein of Strapping Young Lad meets Punky Brüster. Ziltoid the Omniscient will beam episodes on the web and the record will be ready for an early summer release via Inside Out and HDR. Devin played all the instruments on this record with the assistance of the Drumkit from hell. He also mixed and produced the record. Also, I updated the list today as I learned about some really good new releases. For example, new EF is something to look forward to. I also believe dredg might release an album this year but that hasn't been confirmed.
