To me, this performance epitomizes one of those great, underrated revolutionary moments in pop music history. When Public Enemy hit the stage in this clip, there is no precedent for what transpires. This isn't a concert. This is bigger than rap. Bigger than music. Public Enemy always had more substance than anyone else, but what makes them one of the untouchable, all-time great acts is the style with which they delivered their message. Bear witness.
