MY GOD HOW I MISS LAST FM AND MUSIC! WHY IS LIFE SO VERY BUSY! I HOPE I LIVE TO THE TIME WHEN I CAN SEE ALL OF YOU AT SOME COLDPLAY CONCERT OR ELSE, BE HAPPY EVERYONE! Btw guys, while learning things on Linguistics at our Communication theory course i realized why music is so cool. the thing is, words are physical, and therefore they are signs which mean something particular, we all know them and know what they mean. Music is non-verbal, and therefore - symbolic, and symbols reach far beyond what word can name; since we feel much more than can be verbalized, we are happy there's something beside words to bring it out. ->>WHY STUDY LINGUISTICS, I THINK I KNEW IT SINCE I WAS FOUR!

Unfortunately my childhood is not associated with concerts)). OK, may be that wasn't childhood but youth. But anyway it was a huge contrast between their concert and concerts of some Russian-rock groups such as Chaif, Mashina Vremeni, Voskresen'ye etc. I also have a special attitude towards Elton John. I was impressed by his music at the age of 5 when I saw Lion King (it was a childhood for sure)). And that concert was deja vu or something like that for me, especially when he was singing his last track Circle of Life. It's impossible to express in words

You see, I think the rain made one good thing - those people who were hesitating: either to go to the concert or not, they finally didn't). I was rather close to the stage (2nd fan-zone) and a bit aside. I cannot say that was a perfect place but I've managed to see Paul not only at the screen but also "alive". By the way I was in the same place a year ago on Elton John's concert). O.E. are great but I don't like their 2 last albums. From my point of view they too "pop-art". I remember their concert 7 years ago with symphonic orchestra - may be the greatest concert of my childhood. These are 2 different O.E. and I like the old one much more.

It was really outstanding. The only unpleasant thing was a great thunder right before the concert. So those 350000 people on our Independence Square including me were absolutely wet. But fortunately after 20 minutes of concert it went over. The atmosphere was wonderful. I couldn't even imagine I would be able some day to attend almost Beatles concert and sing Blackbird, Hey Jude, Penny Lane and of course Yesterday with McCartney. He sang 33 songs during 2,5 hours. You see, those emotions have remained till today. We are looking forward to the next June hoping for some more great events (my cherish dream is Metallica:). So welcome to Kiev!

You're right! I've a couple of Russian films, but, I'll love if you told me your favorites to look for them, and about books, it's hard to found here books in Russian, I'll look in Amazon if there's something in sale. Cпасибо.
