Does this work on Vista? I can't get the 3.2.2 started. Thanks for advice!

it works fine in vista, does it give you any kind of error it just doesn't start?

Tx. Now that I know it should work in Vista, I'll try other options first. If that doesn't solve my problem, I'll shout again ;-) Anyway, great work of you!

Every time I attempt to create a tag wave graph after a little while while it is processing it comes up with error creating weekly tag cloud for the file from=1150027200&to=1150632000 I believe it always has a problem when it gets to that date range.

That is a bug, It occurs because you have a week whithout any music listened, temporary you can fix it by modifing this file Shared Last.fm Database\Users\punkdigerati\Weeklycharts\from=1150027200&to=1150632000.xml to include some music, open it in a text editor , and replace all the text for <?xml version=1.0 encoding=UTF-8?> <weeklyartistchart user=punkdigerati from=1150027200 to=1150632000> <artist> <name>Joe Hisaishi</name> <mbid>44c64a30-1d58-49c5-b314-6e02fba49526</mbid> <chartposition>1</chartposition> <playcount>1</playcount> <url>http://www.last.fm/music/Joe Hisaishi</url> </artist> </weeklyartistchart> Save the file, restart the program and try again.

When I first used the wave graph, the date range it gave me was from 12/30/07 to 03/11/08. I downloaded it on the 11th, so that makes sense, however I didn't actually join last.fm until January 3rd, so I'm not sure where December 30th is coming from... Two questions: 1. It's been a couple of days, and it continues to end at the 11th. Does it take a certain amount of time (weekly?) for the chart to update? 2. I joined last.fm in January, but I uploaded my iTunes info when I joined, so my listening habits are scrobbled back much further than that. Is there a way to get the date to start earlier? The directions for moving the slider work, but don't let me go out of the range of 12/30/07 - 03/11/08. Also, thanks! I wouldn't be asking so many questions if thing thing wasn't so much fun to play with

It updates the date range more or less weekly, it depends of when last.fm updates their data in the webservices. The first date doesn't need to coincide with your join date, I think it is the first day of the week that you joined or something like that. The data uploaded from itunes don't have info about weekly plays or at least they aren't added to the webservices, consequently it's impossible to calculate stats that depend of a date interval with that data. no problem, ask all the questions that you want, I like hearing from the users of the program :)

Using 3.2.2.0, just crashes upon startup, even before UI loads. Tried running as admin, compatibility settings as WinXPSP2, nothing :( Wha a shame!

Is it possible to make it support the second character here: http://www.last.fm/music/P%C4%93teris+Vasks ? Getting an error message due to it.

    7 Ago 2011, 13:02
  • C26000

@daxiee Thats a serius issue I have with last.fm webservices themselves. Even if you open that artist xml info (From last.fm data) in chrome or firefox it willl break. The best that you can do is to try again many times after it throws you the error. It will advance week per week that contains the problematic artist. Eventually you will download all your data and the error won't appear anymore

Hello, Sorry I haven't been much in last.fm. I remember trying to make my wave graph one week ago and I thought it was a last.fm issue. Apparently it was longer than I expected. Right now they fixed their web services and it works fine again.

Hello Benjwild, Well that's strange, there shouldn't be any problem with windows. Any way don't worry the software doesn't do anything harmful to your computer. Just search for it in this location and delete all the files:: C:\Users\[YOURUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Social Waves
