I enjoy every song I have ever heard by Haddaway. While I am more partial to his mid and up tempo songs, he sounds equally as great on slower songs". His following albums "Let's Do It Now" (1999), "My Face" (2001), "Love Makes" (2002) and "Pop Splits" (2005) all including more Pop/Soul style production along with is Eurodance sound. His voice and song lyrics remain very bit as great as his early recordings. His most recent singles "You Gave Me Love" (2010) and "Up & Up" (featuring Mad Stuntman) (2012) are more a return to his original Eurodance sound. Overall, despite his evolution toward danceable Pop/Soul in the late 1990s/early 2000s, he should have remained commercially successful.

Elegy is one of my favorites by her, and even though she didn't do anything different with it live, it was a definite highlite of the evening. she DID play Eloise, i believe. if i can recall, she said she has had it for years but decided now was the time to record it. and, on another note, i noticed she added another show around here, which is amazing. it's really awesome she's from around here, because like you said, it's so much easier for her to schedule close shows no doubt

she said that since Harbinger was almost 20 years old, she kept coming back to memories of recording it, and would play mostly the album that night; which was exactly what she did. if i remember, she played Elegy, two new songs, Jolene (Parton), Pearl and the hits from This Fire (Me Included). one of the new songs was called, i think, Strong Beautiful Women, which she said she had actually written years ago. she was in a really good mood and asked the audience if they had any questions. typically, someone shouted out to play a song, which was Black Boots. she said she couldn't remember it and stopped after the first few measures. the guy was about to shout it out again, so to shut the moron up, i interupted him and asked her how the Raven process was for her. she kinda giggled and said it was amazing, and said that because of people who supported her on that, she was able to put it out and keep playing shows. she really seemed excited about the whole project.

well you were right about Paula Cole! my gosh, what a performance. if i wasn't feeling well before the show and didn't want to be there; any of that went away in seconds. i was really tempted to go to NY the next day and see her again

Thanks for your reply! I completely agree: each of his albums is so different and unique! I really love everything he’s done, from his Savage Garden days until his latest album. I became a fan during the ‘Delicate Thing’-era (though I already knew his Savage Garden work) and I quickly discovered his other solo albums. And you’re right on the b-sides: they sound as good as his album tracks! Some of my favorites are ‘So Bad’, ‘Fallen Angel’ and also ‘Explode’ and ‘Nothing’ from the bonus disc of ‘Secret Codes & Battleships’. And lately I’ve been listening to ‘California’ a lot. He’s also amazing live, I hope to see him in concert one day! :) Unfortunately he’s never been to Belgium. Have you ever had the chance to see him?

thanks for the kind response! i absolutely love her blend of bass-esque driven atl-rock/early 90's pop and her incredible voice, so it's great to hear it all comes together so well live (1st row too!). i'll of course let you know how it went.

The third album isn't their best, they kinda of let it sneak up on them. "From Luxury to Heartache" had issues, but played better overall. But, "Waking..." does have "Hello Goodbye," "Dangerous Man," "The Medal Song," "Mannequin," and the aformentioned "Mistake No. 3."
