• 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die - The beginning

    10 May 2012, 20:11

Today is the 10/05/2012 shortly I go on holiday to Orlando. Not only is this a major event in my life but I am going to initiate a listening experience.

I feel I am obsessive over music, Last.FM doesn't help this so why not indulge in it a little. I picked up a "1001 Albums you must hear before you die" by Robert Dimery you can pick up the book here.

So I've set myself the mission of listening to all these albums in chronological order, I am sure I will own some of them and I will not ignore any of the list.

So this epic music discovery begins with Frank Sinatra and his album entitled In the Wee Small Hours.

So my review of this album follows:

I am only going to keep my reviews brief. So I think this album is simply one of the best jazz albums I have ever heard and is a great start to this quest of music enhancement. I have always liked Frank Sinatra as a casual listener but I think after listening to this album instead of the cliché 'greatest hits' I feel I should discover more of his work.

A very decent vocal jazz work 9/10
