I got the idea from my friend PopplagiWest.

This isn't any kind of definitive list, just a list I'll keep adding to, so I'm not going crazy at the end of the year to try and remember all of the ones that really moved me through out the year. What are your top albums so far?

I think the list should start from autumn 07 because that's when the Christmas/Year End albums are released. Anyway, it isn't fair they only get a few months' exposure when January releases get all year.

Hopefully, this isn't a spammy list. I need the links for myself. If anyone would like to listen to all of these and more, try my tag radio.

I think of it like an academic year. I go September - August rather than January - December. Reason being, that's how the market works. September is when we see the most exciting releases, aimed for the Christmas market but also for winter in general. People stay in more. First quarter of a new year is similar. Second quarter and things start to get patchy. Third quarter and everyone's on holiday. Then it's September again. When I build year-specific tag radios, I do include all releases for that year, but I bear in mind I probably won't be listening to it so much when the new year starts. So I repeat releases from Sept onwards in the new year tag radio, and I'm happy because everything feels fair.

That happens. I have a lot of a different selection when it comes to 2008 releases, though. Heh.
