Snow Patrol on 04.02.2007 in Offenbach/Germany
First the negatives: The supporting act (Scott Matthews) began playing half an hour too late and after him, despite nothing on the stage has to be reconstructed, there was a more than 40min break. And Snow Patrol had to restart Chasing Cars three times because of problems with the guitar/amplifier. But overall the concert was great :-). Scott Matthews, whom I didnt know before has some very intensive songs, but also sometimes seemed like he's only doing some kind of Jam Session. But the Snow Patrol-Gig was wonderful the whole time. They played songs from all of their albums, and none of the very few, i dont like. I'm sorry, that I can not give you a list of the songs, because of my bad memory for tracknames.
The Lead-Singer Gary Lightbody seemed very likeable, although he sometimes gestures in a strange way on the Mic. Between the songs he was joking around and told the story, how their Drummer broke his arm a few days before, causing them to introduce an alternative one (who did a great job though). No complains about the Sound and I really liked their lightshow, it gave the songs a nice backround, without drowning them out. Finally it had fulfilled all my expectations, and so I suggest you all to see them live on your own.
Oh Scott Matthews played about half an hour and Snow Patrol ca 1 1/2 h

The 40 minute break is usually a standard for concerts. It's great to see Snow Patrol playing songs from all their albums, can't wait to see the look on the teeny boppers faces when they don't know the lyrics of their first two albums, hehe. Great review!
