Rapper, been doing it about 5 years on a semi-professional level, www.sugarfreehiphop.co.uk < thats my label site I run, there should be plenty of freebies on there, not much in print at the moment though... Some bigger works in the pipeline, trying to combine rap and post-rock at the moment :D Should be fun...

Well being a UK hip hop artist myself, it's strange for me to say, but I listen to very little UK hip hop...I prefer US artists by a long shot! If your up to check any out, I highly recommend Atmosphere, Sage Francis and P.O.S, also a dude called Kristoff Krane is immense.

Haha so very true, a lot of it seems so redundant! Any recommendations for good Doom? So far I've got Candlemass and Ahab, what are some other good ones I could check out?

The new shows are: 04.02.2010 Vienna / Gasometer 05.02.2010 Graz / Seifenfabrik 06.02.2010 Munich / Backstage. And to answer the other question, I'm currently located in the right-most part of Iowa.

Hip Hop for the majority there yes, noticed a bit of Dr Syntax on yours..And saw some good post-rock, which is always a winner...Your charts just looked diverse, and I like to check out what people are into that I'm not familiar with...

Yeah, he's got infected vocal chords, They had to reschedule 3 shows in Germany. But, yeah, the closest concert is in Chicago, and it's a little too far to traverse.

Well, about the lyrics, I was talking exactly about IK, not the genre. As you see (or maybe not), I listen to doom pretty often (Draconian, Katatonia, The Fall Of Every Season, etc) so I have something to compare with, that's why I complained about IK's lyrics which are not too beautiful. But whatever, I don't want to rant. Sorry if I said something unnecessary.

Hey, I checked out this EP of Ikuinen Kaamos. Well, what can I say. it's fine, but there are some drawbacks. Their guitars sound very sharp, almost painful to hear on high volume level... Equalizer helps though. They rely on the guitars too much, I think. But anyway, "The Absence" is quite good, especially the clean vocals part, and there is violin too! :3 Danse Macabre? Well, they are just good gothic metal, don't have anything more to say. Maybe only that their sound kinda upgraded when they "evolved" into Satyrian. But lyrics... Hm, yeah, doom metal should be sad, but I prefer more symbolic approach, they do it mostly too literal... I mean, look at the lyrics of "Frailty". It just describes the situation without any fiction, too materialistic :\

Lucky you, I wish I could have seen them, but they're not coming anywhere near where I am for their North American tour. I just hope Tony recovers from whatever is currently afflicting his vocal chords.

Conóceme

What to say, what to say...well you may have guesed by the DP I belong to a certain fandom >_>
Uhh...blatantly I like music, but in particular I'm into just about anything that isn't R&B...skilled though most of the singers are, they seem hell-bent on doing the EXACT SAME as the others in the genre.

I also write, mostly fantasy/drama but I've given everything a lil go at some point or other. I also LOVE films/reading/games - all the geeky stuff basically...oh except WoW, never played that and don't intend to; despite popular misconception I do indeed have a life beside my pc.

I am no longer in sixth form! yay! Though I DID love it, it must be said, great time - but now on my gap year before University...so far just busy failing to find a job and lazing about getting bored.

Anything else you want to know, just ask.
