I don't think the band itself is inspired by Dimethyltryptamine, but it plays a part in their material. Alex Grey who does their album art consumes ayahuasca frequently and especially when creating his works. He double dosed when he came up with "Net of Being" which later became the cover art to 10,000 Days. I've seen them in 2008 and it was amazing. out of 19 concerts I've been to, that one was the best. Their live shows are very important and I encourage anyone to see at least one of their shows. As far as 10,000 Days, it is more of a dedication to Maynard's Mother, but Rosetta Stoned is about a DMT trip I can not dount that at all.

Always. Never gets old. I'm currently on a 10,000 Days kick, putting Right In Two with Rosetta Stoned and noticing how they coincide with 2001: A Space Odyssey.

doesn't it get boring? after so many listens.. you probably know every note, every word in their songs. you have them in your head all the time and they become part of you. and you still listen to them?

These are only tracks played from my devices, not including radio, tape, CD listens over the years. Absolutely love this band, they've openen my mind in ways no band could that I know of. Because of Tool I am understanding Chakras, collect books by Carl Jung, Drunvalo Melchizedek, spiritual enlightenment, peace, we're all one consciousness, Bill Hicks, countless others I can't begin to explain or describe in words. The connection between 10,000 Days and 2001: A Space Odyssey is what put me over the edge with this band. I was already there though with Lateralus. Still never gets old and is STILL ahead of it's time. New album please?

Heal yeah man, Carl Jung is cool as hell. I read "Man and his Symbols" and a lot of "Memories, Dreams, Reflections". He's my favorite psychologist. I've got some of his other books but I haven't got to them yet.
