Eh, I'm something like 1/64 black or something like that from my mothers side since an ancestor "hopped the fence" or so they say...

I recall reading in this book http://www.amazon.com/Spin-Cycle-Clinton-Propaganda-Machine/dp/0684852314 that shortly pre-Lewinsky incident, Clinton made an official apology for slavery. Why the hell Clinton thought he needed a bj after that moment... no idea! :P

Reparations would involve several billions in deficit spending and would be stealing money from unborn generations of multiracial taxpayers for the benefit for certain small subsets of African-Americans today. I can't see how that is ethical, let alone advisable from an economic point of view.

I don't see what the point is that you're arguing. Yes, slavery and segregation was wrong. I was under the impression that the U.S. federal government has apologized for this officially.

Chelsea Girl was released the same year as VU&N and it was basically the same crew working on it. Nico only wrote 1 song on the album and she hated it because they didn't let her do what she wanted. I recommend Chelsea Girl, but after that Nico was free to do what she wanted and she did some "out there" stuff. I like her style but I don't recommend wasting your time going past Chelsea Girl.
