Heya. Good to see your still using last.fm and listening to The Whitlams no less. My fav band for many, many years. I only log into the site maybe twice a year these days but I still try to keep the scrobbling going. I want to look back in 10 years and see what I listened to. Any ways, Hope your doing well. Take care.

there's no point of comparisson man. Mine's an avatar of Syd, yours is what I assume, a gif of yourself being awesome. Pretty awesome.

Hey Susan. Good to hear from you. Mr. Costello was absolutely awesome!! He played for 3 hours solid-He also brought on Glenn Tillbrook to do "From a whisper to a scream" and a bit leftfield but he also brought Russell Crowe on to do a Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley cover!! He was actually pretty good as who knew he could hold a tune- but he did. Glad you're still enjoying the live music scene- awesome.

Haha! I do that all the time! Sometimes, though, if I think I'll look too stalker-like, I sign out and then go around reading the other side of the conversation. Now, that I think about it, though, that's even creepier because I'm sneaking around invisibly. :) How are ya, anyway?

Yeah, I heard "I Woke Up Today" on 6Music (I think it was) and went from there. Triple J is a great station, too, most of the time. I listen to it on the wi-fi radio next to my bed -- which is where I have to go now. I must be nuts! It's a school night and here I am up listening to music at ...holy fuck! ...3:45 am! G'night!!!!

I miss the mullet, too, but I think people were afraid to talk to me while I was sporting that do. Never judge a last.fm-er by his avatar, I always say. I'm afraid not everyone lives by that rule, though. I see you've been listening to Port O'Brien, too. Some nice tunes there, no?

oh, and NO, it's not me. It's some mulleted loser I found on the interweb. But ... I'm growing to like his look. The two-tone arms, the spindly 'stache, the hairy belly, the fuck-offness of it all -- gotta love this guy.

Give me heat and humidity any day over nipple freezing ice and cold. Brrrr. It's brutal here. Do you have air conditioning where you live?

Hahaha! Love the new avatar, but it's making me dizzy. Is it hot enough for ya there? Are you melting into a puddle o' goo?

Oh yeah, you're right "super" compatibility and New Order is my band of choice ;) but I also like a bunch of the ones in your sidebar. Probably abit late to wish you a Happy New Year, but thats kinda how we Americans are, just abit slow sometimes.

Yes you are absolutely right, we are women and will get on no problems; most of my friends sigh when I play any punk even the Ramones...I have a totally diverse musical taste so we can have fun swapping music, and nattering about anything over the last 25 years in music because we have probably been there and done it... oh yeah we have a right to wear the t- shirt, I don't even have a Ramones one :(

How can you remember all of these concerts and shows you list to the right?! I can barely remember ... what was I going to say ... uh ... never mind.

How are the bunnies? Have you ever had rabbit stew? I did in Portugal once. Very tasty ... but I don't think I could do it again. There will be no Journal review of the show because I can't seem to articulate my reaction to music the way some people can. It's the same with wine. I like wine and I like music. Full stop. Here's my review: The show was really good, but not (for me) great. I think I'm too old to watch a drummer and another guy pushing buttons on two laptops. That was The Presets. Cut Copy were much, much better and also better than I expected. Stupidly, we were up front for The Presets, but then went outside (ahem, for a smoke) between sets and wound up near the back for Cut Copy. Actually, though, I think the light show was better from the back because you could see the whole thing. And the venue isn't *that* large anyway. All in all, it was very good. The end.

Thanks!! Really looking forward to it, especially The Presets! The two bands are alternating nights as the headline act and unfortunately The Presets are opening for the Toronto show. Wish it were the other way around, but still it should be great. I'll let you know. Why are you going to "have limited web access" for the next week? Serving your sentence? ;-)

I've had a complete coffee transfusion. No blood left in the system at all now -- just lovely brown, liquid caffeiney goodness flowing through my veins. Don't need sleep anymore. Well, not much. Think I'll go lie down and stare at the ceiling for an hour or two.

yeah, hot weather in January must be a total drag. I feel for you. You wouldn't believe all the shows in Toronto over the next few months and I think there are still some to be announced. I was supposed to go to the Virgin Festival this weekend, but I bailed (wasn't that thrilled with the lineup). Good thing I did -- it's been rainy and cool all weekend. I'm too old to stand around in the rain listening to bands. I'd rather be indoors in a hot, claustrophobic club setting, anyway.

...btw, you know when I say "worst virtual friend" I'm sayin' it with love. I have a friend here who calls *me* her worst friend because I can never be counted on and I never call. She has her best friend ... and me, her worst friend. It's nice to be recognized. ;-)

Well, well, well. My worst virtual friend has resurfaced! ;-) Thought maybe a great white or a croc got you! I'm good. Not up to much other than work, though take a look at my events schedule for September -- went a bit nuts ordering concert tickets. And that isn't even everyone coming to town that I want to see!

Hey Susan! Just dropping by to see what you're up to. Another Aussie (mrvargo) recently put me on to the Australian tv show "Wilfred." VERY funny! Can't find it on dvd here yet, but I've been watching clips on youtube. Did you like this show or find it stupid? :)
