A list of my Top 10 songs
Let's start from the end:
10-Diablo - Living Dead Superstar
-This song delivers pure energy through my ears…awesome melodies,solo,sick drumming,blood-pumping tempo changes and mighty vocals…that's how i love it…
9-Soilwork - Spirits Of The Future Sun
-Everytime i hear the intro of this song i feel like superman on cocaine.Peter Wichers' guitarwork is amazing as always and from 4:00 on it's pure pleasure for.
8-Hibria - Steel Lord On Wheels
-Call it cheesy power-metal but for me,this song is like adrenaline injected right into my veins and i like to start my day with this song.Epic vocals and soloing-enough said.
7-Insomnium - Drawn to Black
-This is something absolutely different from number 8.The riffs are magical and the song itself is one beautiful magic trip into the soul of finnish desperation.
6-Black Sun Aeon - Core of Winter
- Everytime when the melody,which starts around 0:34 ,kicks in, it's like the best thing i 've ever heard.Too bad it's only for the intro i would love to hear it again in this song,but still it's a beautiful,atmospheric,breathtaking song.
5-Sybreed - Electronegative
-The cold futuristic feeling of this song is really unique for me.Sounds like a soundtrack to some Matrix-like movie and as a fan of Matrix and science fiction movies i can really appreciate the feeling of this song.
4-Disarmonia Mundi - Venom Leech and The Hands Of Rain
-So much energy packed into one song…it's unbelievable, but these guys did it.Godlike vocal layers,ass ripping riffs,brain smashing drumming and amazing lyrics.i could never imagine that a song with 3 vocalists singing at the same moment (!) can sound this good.Listen to this song instead of drinking Red-Bull - the effect is much stronger.
3-Before The Dawn Stormbringer
-Some very cool riffing along with some keyboards in the background and then BOOM,the chorus is like a bomb .And the lyrics are also very special to me.Powerfull duo - Lars+Tuomas made an epic win,like in most of their songs, but this one is really outstanding for me.
2 - Neptune - Black Monolith Sunrise
-Loved it from the first listen but if this song had a better sound it would surely be number one.Majestic riffing,futuristic lyrics and fuckin' amazing ettore rigotti-like vocals (guess who produced the album hehe).The chorus is one of the best i've ever heard….pure majesty and epicness.
Ok and here we go for number
1-Scar Symmetry - Holographic Universe
-This track is my absolute favorite in my playlist.It has everything i love about metal-Machine-like drums,Guitars from another dimension and godlike vocals.I never liked song longer than 5 mins but this one is really a special case.Feels like being sucked into a black hole full of eargasmic sounds from the start to the very end.
No words can describe the complexity of this song.So deep and interesting lyrics about one of my fave lyrical themes in metal music.Well i'm running out of words so go listen to it if you haven't already because this is something, that every metal fan MUST hear.This song itself rips the latest Metallica album to pieces.
