Viking Metal
Características El viking metal toma como base el black metal, y en menor medida el folk metal. Existe la creencia equívoca de que una banda de viking metal es toda aquella cuyas letras trataran los temas típicos de este estilo: las costumbres vikingas, los guerreros vikingos, los berserkers, el ásatrú… este requisito es importante, pero el viking metal tiene más elementos diferenciadores y comunes, es más, existen discos de viking metal cuya temática no es la anteriormente descrita. If you are an Amon Amarth fan and looking for more music similar to them, this is not the place. They are far closer to death metal and melodic death metal than viking metal. With the exception of a few, like Thryfing, you won't find much in the vein of Amon Amarth here.
