Motown
Motown Records es una discográfica estadounidense, fundada en Detroit (conocida como Motor City, la ciudad del motor, de ahí Mot- y -town). Fue creada en 1959 por Berry Gordy. Durante los años 60 Motown puede presumir de tener a un gran número de artistas que eran estrellas de la música contemporánea de su época y hoy son leyendas del soul, llegando a conseguir su propio sonido «motown sound», que la convertiría en una discográfica única.
