@Mannemarsu I know for a fact that Tim Lambesis (As I Lay Dying's vocalist) is a Christian and so are the rest of the guys in the band. And I wasn't trying to say that The Devil Wears Prada was a better example than ABR. I was just saying that they were another great example in addition to the great examples that you pointed out. I know it's not necessarily a genre, that's why i have mixed feelings about this tag.

@TheDestroyer68 I picked August Burns Red and Underoath because they openly claim themselves as christians. As I Lay Dying, or outside metalcore, Switchfoot are popular bands consisting of christian members but I have an impression that they just say they are christians, not necessarily preaching about their faith. And The Devil Wears Prada is as popular as ABR so I wouldn't say it as a "more great example" And also generally on this tag, the description isn't accurate because the tag isn't accurate. It's not necessarily a genre...

I'm a Christian. I'm not sure I like this tag though and the description isn't accurate. Who's to say that all these people in these bands are straight edge???? There are some Christians that drink fyi. And why are Phil Wickham and Manafest connected to this? They're not any form of metal at all. Phil Wickham is a worship artist, and a very good one too :)

At first it sounds silly, but when you go through the list it is quite fitting - many of the top metalcore bands are partially influenced by Christianity and they are decent bands, sure one might not like the genre but many of these bands are among the best.

Thumbs up for the description! And @LordsOfTheStorm Do you mean that being christian means that you can't be popular? Actually, I'd like to think otherwise - bands like Underoath and August Burns Red prove that also christian bands can be popular.

Christcore - When metalcore and deathcore bands exploit religion for profit, because they are too lazy to make original music. Not brutal, not metal, not cool, not hardcore. How you can tell its for profit: Do you see ACTUAL metal bands with christian beliefs flaunt it on MTV? Nope, you see them in the metal underground, along with all the metal bands who don't care for a false fanbase that will ditch them when the trend dies.
