The Airfields es una banda canadiense formada por Jakob Thiesen, Sheila Sampath, Ian Jackson, David Lush y Ali Sunderji, quienes disfrutan escuchar grupos como Galaxie 500, The Aislers Set y Sarah Records, que tiene un E.P de 2007 llamado “Laneways” en el que se encuentra la bonita “Red Fox”, que su primer disco se llama “Up All Night” (2008) en el que mezclan indiepop con noisepop, y le agregan algunas pizcas de shoegaze y twee, muy a lo que hace The Pains of Being at Pure Heart, que sus mejores canciones son “YR so Wonderful” ruido más pop… , combinación ganadora, “Happy and Safe” una bocanada de aire fresco dentro del disco con un pequeño toque vintage a lo Le Futur Pompiste y “Love Tariffs” una completa delicia, invencible por donde se le mire.
