Esta banda fue formada el 2002 en USA; por Jona Bechtolt a quien luego se le uniría Claire L. Evans. podríamos calificar su música como electropop pero no estaríamos demasiado cerca de ello, en realidad suenan a muchas cosas. Muchos medios se han rendido ante su música especialmente con su cuarto disco «See Mistery Lights».

«YACHT considera que todas las personas tienen derecho al libre pensamiento, a la libertad de expresión para escribir sus propias opiniones libremente y para contrarrestar, pronunciar y debatir sobre las opiniones de los demás. Hay una diferencia entre Libre de ‘Buffet Libre’ y Libre de ‘Liberado’. YACHT cree que la música e Internet se unirán en el tiempo».
