Xploding Plastix es una banda Noruega que hacen música Electrofunk/Big Beat con elementos de jazz. Su canción, «Treat Me Mean, I need the Reputation» se convierte en un clásico cuando fue lanzado al mercado 7» en Beatservice Records en el 2000. Fue relanzado mas tarde en el 2002 en Hospital Records y promovido por LTJ Bukem, Coldcut, y Grooverider. Kronos Quartet ha interpretado su composición de tres movimientos, The Order of Things: Music for the Kronos Quartet.
