Wolves in the Throne Room es una banda de black metal/ atmospheric black metal formada en el 2003 en la localidad de Olympia (Washington, E.E.U.U). Hasta la fecha cuenta con dos demos, un EP y tres discos de larga duración: Diadem of 12 Stars(2006), Two Hunters (2007) y Black Cascade (2009). Sus letras suelen tratar de temas propios del estilo como son la naturaleza, la tristeza o los rituales paganos.
Cabe destacar que la ideología de la banda se distancia de la de muchas de las bandas relacionadas, WITTR en muchas entrevistas han mostrado un profundo respeto por el activismo izquierdista, los grupos medioambientales y el eco feminismo.

-Nathan Weaver - Voz, Guitarra
-Will Lindsay - Guitarra, Voz
-Ross Sewage - Bajo
-Aaron Weaver - Batería

It's a really good interview that clarifies a lot of the misconceptions about the band. Still, people will hurl the same ignorant criticisms. Whatever. Aaron is generally regarded as the "voice" of the band, as he gives most of the interviews. From what I understand, Nathan doesn't like doing interviews very much at all.

Too comfortable? I find it to be quite sharp. But it's very straight to the point (unlike Two Hunters and not to mention Diadem of 12 Stars), so I think I understand. Personally, I like Diadem of 12 Stars more than Two Hunters and Black Cascade is on top of them both.

A dabbler, a dilettante, an insincere/ironic interloper. Of course, this is often incredibly shortsighted and while, sure, it may apply to a handful of people it really doesn't apply to the vast majority of people who live and function as people among other people. (Beside all that, um, Josh of Velvet Cacoon does kind of seem to be one of these insincere interlopers, being a guy living in Portland's Pearl District playing little pranks on the online black metal community. But that's probably debatable and I digress.)

In reference to shouts from earlier this week, I don't see how there's anything at all challenging about Black Cascade. It's too easy, too fluffy. I think the songs are good, but something in the production just lacks the edge Two Hunters had. It's too comfortable.
