yea i'm well aware of Pretty Girls. That and "Mama Told Me" (and to a lesser extent, 90210 & Prescription) are the only songs on the album that I like. The rest of the album just sounds like he's pandering to get a bigger audience. Did he really need Pharrell, Bun B, Chrisette Michele, J.Cole (Memphis Bleek 2.0), K'naan and Gucci Mane (who is on what was supposed to be a DC anthem)? Can any of you guys say that this album is anywhere close to being as good as 100 Miles and Running was?

@Melquana21 it's people giving the song different tags.

@pamento did you not listen to the entire album? Listen to Pretty Girls and say he abandoned his original sound.

Not a fan of the album. Wale abandoned the sound that got him noticed in the first place for some Neptunes and Cool & Dre produced garbage.

i thought triumph was wayyy weaker than 90210 which was probably my favorite track, right below Letter, but that's not on the album=/

@euphony11: what are u talkin about all of his stuff has been kinda catchy hence the whole go-go style. but more so i wonder what album u were listenin to cuz he has more songs on there with meaning and maybe only 3 actual club songs. I mean did u even here the song 90210, Contemplate, Shades, or Diary i mean those are songs are can easily be considered conscious. but mehz i suppose ur ideals of whats supposed to be "conscious rap" might be blinding you from seeing the greatness of this album...

As a dude labeled as "the future of rap" or part of the "new wave", I ain't feelin his album as a whole. There are some good tracks no doubt, but I feel like being on a label they made em put out songs that get away from Wale's best qualities. Fuck all that club/catchy/radio type tracks he not that type of dude. Keep to what got you all those people listening to you in the first place, don't switch it up for a mainstream appeal. Naw, never that.

It's up there for album of the year for me. CuDi is still number one though, doubt anyone can replace him. Triumph and Pretty Girls are kinda weak though.

Complex: What do you guys say to people who think J. Cole killed Wale on that record? J. Cole: I wouldn’t say that. I got the obvious lines. His verses are still crazy if you really sit down and listen to them. And not to take anything away from my verse, because it’s definitely on point, but we’re in the day and age where niggas are so competitive and people got their favorites, that nobody wants to just enjoy it as a good song, which it is. They wanna say, ‘he killed him.’ Wale: It’s no way to not perceive it as such. He’s the new guy now. His verse is amazing. It’s like when AZ came on “Life’s A Bitch.” It’s a fresh face. I don’t stand a chance as far as perception goes, but I think they’re equally as good. Why can’t it just be a good song though? Everybody feels like they have to like one of us. Nobody was even on ‘who killed who’ 10 years ago.
