I'm with you pamento that i love the Best Kept Secret produced stuff, but there are some other songs on AD that are damn good in my opinion. if you can expand your fan base while still making good music all on a debut cd, i'm for it.

yeah, the album does sound a lot different than 100 Miles and Running, but just because the album is more commercial and obviously does try to reach a broader audience with a lot of features doesn't mean it's worse imo. i love both underground and commercial rap so it's great to see Wale excel at both

yea i'm well aware of Pretty Girls. That and "Mama Told Me" (and to a lesser extent, 90210 & Prescription) are the only songs on the album that I like. The rest of the album just sounds like he's pandering to get a bigger audience. Did he really need Pharrell, Bun B, Chrisette Michele, J.Cole (Memphis Bleek 2.0), K'naan and Gucci Mane (who is on what was supposed to be a DC anthem)? Can any of you guys say that this album is anywhere close to being as good as 100 Miles and Running was?

There are some good tracks no doubt, but I feel like being on a label they made em put out songs that get away from Wale's best qualities. Fuck all that club/catchy/radio type tracks he not that type of dude. Keep to what got you all those people listening to you in the first place, don't switch it up for a mainstream appeal. Naw, never that.
