Tadashi Yabe, Toshio Matsuura y el francés Raphael Sebbag, tres DJ’s de la inqueta cultura de club tokiota, unen sus fuerzas en 1990 para hacer realidad un proyecto de acid jazz cosmopolita, bajo el nombre de United Future Organization. Tras la buena acogida local, son aceptados con entusiasmo en la escena londinense y esto les permite editar un disco en 1994 en el mercado global, el exquisito y ecléctico No Sound Is Too Taboo. Han publicado otros dos discos, bien recibidos por la minoría degustadora de estos sonidos mestizos y calientes, pero desde 2000 no han dado señales de vida.
