uneXpect es una banda de metal de vanguardia extremo (avangarde extreme metal), oriundo de Canadá, cuyo estilo musical combina diversos estilos y retazos de diferentes ramas musicales, tales como: música clásica, operística, medieval, gótica, electro, ambiental, psicótica, alborotadora y circense con toques ocasionales de Jazz. Está compuesta actualmente por 6 integrantes debido a la reciente ida del séptimo, éste último, de denominación artistica «Le bateleur» (violinista de la formación) dejó el grupo por cuestiones personales. La búsqueda de un nuevo violinista se está llevando a cabo, para mayor información es recomendable acceder a su web oficial.
Actualmente disponen de un par de albunes y un EP, en los cuales podemos contemplar el extravagante e hilarante estilo de este grupo que podria ser clasificado como demencial, la atmosfera y ambientación que sobrecargan sus temas recrean pasajes oníricos y místicos, la sinfonía y la brutalidad se entremezclan dando lugar a unos pasajes musicales muy diversos y experimentales, perfectamente equilibrados gracias a la notable técnica instrumental que demuestra esta ecléctica formación, cuya música nos sumerge en un hondo mar de inquietos y desaprensivos pensamientos.
Los vocales de este grupo poseen un trabajo soberbio, notable, desde los desgarradores y estrambóticos chillidos de Artagoth hasta la bella y melodiosamente cautivadora voz de Leìlindel
