Es una banda de «doom metal» caracterizada por sus liricas apegadas al cristianismo.
se formó en 1979 por el vocalista Eric Wagner, los guitarristas Bruce Franklin y Rick Wartell, el bajista Sean McAllister y en la batería Jeff Olson. Con la fuerte influencia del estilo Stoner Rock de los primeros trabajos de Black Sabbath ( y con toques ocasionales del Rock Psicodélico de finales de los 60’s, la banda usaba un sonido grave y oscuro con letras religiosas que le ganaron el mote de White Metal.
participó tambien en ella el actual y reconocido baterista de «tourniquet» : Ted kirckpatric
